Just wondering would a 5% fake chance eq pc be beneficial for a power hb who also will have 10 in juke and of course also have 15 in the va quick feet.

The downside is I would have to give up putting anything in the dive for yards sa.

It will certainly make juke fire more often, so it will occasionally make your back get a few more yards....very much like dive for yeards! So it's a tough call.

If you've already committed to the 10 in juke then i think i'd choose the 5% fake, but i'm a defensive guy and the conventional wisdom might say otherwise.

I assume you already have 2 pieces of break tackle and are 8+ in power thru.

Ehhhhhhh... I dunno about all of this. I mean there's a reason GLB really separated the stuff between Power style HB's and Elusive style HB's. I'm not saying you can't do it that way but it would seem, to me anyways, that trying to make an elusive/power HB and spreading all the SP's around to both sides of the show, including having enough Agility to make the Elusive stuff work (or at least make it worth it) would mean you're doing less for the Power side.
Anyways, sure... I'd grab the piece if you're wanting to boost the Juke and Quick Feet stuff.

Well for the juke i hit an aeq pc with agility and juke(rather quickly) together and thats the reason of taking it, this dot will be a 4 aeq dot also.
To get juke to 10 it will only cost 10 sk pts to do so, figure since I did take the aeq I run with it to 10

And yes I do have 2 break tackle pcs and will have I think 9 in power thru at end build, just have to decide the best way to put my custom bonuses to give me the most bang either in power thru or hurdle

Initially I wasn't going to go with the fake% but shopped one time and hit it, thinking that it will help with juke.

EDIT I could also put my last 12 va's in punishing runner also which helps with juke on outside plays behind the line of scrimmage, either that or put it in the agility va.

well... there's another aspect

on the slider for Power vs Elusive...

The far end of the elusive side gives a bonus to Spin. Bort never got around to adding a similar bonus to Power Thru. So in theory, the only difference between -50 power and -100 power comes down to angle of attack, and that's impossible to predict during a play. So in theory, as long as you stay in the Bruiser zone, it's all the same. I've also seen some power backs use the Slippery 30% BT bonus all over the field, instead of the 45% bonus inside the 8 yard LoS limit only.

There's probably lots of room for different types of power backs, given that most teams carry 3 HBs at least now-a-days.

In the old days, there was power, and elusive and a scat.. and that was it...

now that pure Elusives are extinct, it's probably just as easy to make an elusive style pHB as it it to make a power style eHB.

Well, knowing all that I would absolutely go for it. Reasons; #1, it's highly unlikely (if you pass it by) that you'll get lucky twice... at least not nearly as quickly... which means blowing a lot of BT's shopping for that DFY piece. Besides, #2, you already have 2 Break Tackle pieces which will still make it a quality short yardage getter. Dive 4 yards would help some but I'm not sure it would help more than the 'fake' piece will... as long as it fires just as often as the Dive 4 Yards would... which it should overall.

Worse I could do is screw up the dot worse than PK does then i would just retire it.
