I'm not sure why anyone would want to run 2 star HB's... generally I think you can max out everything you need in just 1, mine never needs to come out of the game.

How you would think I guess. Power back isn't really doing much until now. The Speed back does well but if he find himself with a good LB in his way easy TFL. My Oline also isn't that great atm so if that was better thing would be doing better. plus a star TE over the WR

One can do the same as two. So the incredible salary hit would not be worth it for me.
If you need 2 Star HB's on the roster, then 1 or both of them have shitty builds because 1 Star HB built properly is all you need...not worth the salary cap hit like osirus mentioned

If you have one star HB you have to go 100 conditioning- if you have two star HB's you could go closer to 70-80 conditioning and put those saved skill points into other areas.

If you only have one Star you can only make Power back or Elusive or Scat back. Since splitting points into power and elusive would kill a build and plus most are not working hands.
Cap space is only a problem if you are running 12 stars.

But that alone causes a conflict in play calling. I once had a power back and elusive back at the same time. You have very little control of who is in the game and when. You have to find plays they both can pull off which limits your playbook.

Also, you can build a combo pwr/elusive star HB and they can do quite well... Bronx used Jeter pretty effectively. Regardless of build, you only need one... take that money you save and use it for another star elsewhere, as in TE or SS or whatever.

Use the Player Builder on Stobie's GLB2Scout site and you'll see that you don't save that much in skill points.
Much more importantly, you lose out on a huge amount of INTRA-play energy effect and REGEN for the next play. Those extra skill points, the 70+ level on Conditioning, provide HUGE value.
All testing shows that the VALUE of going from 70 to 100 in HB Conditioning is GREATER than the cost.
DeeVee pioneered this and everyone else just followed because it was incredibly apparent.

Can you explain the INTRA-play energy effect and REGEN rules/concepts? This is something I am not familiar with

I think Tortoise was the first high conditioning HB. No one wanted him because some of his skills were a little less than the Meta HBs at the time. We were desperate and signed him the following season. His speed was low and his power was not maxed but he ended up being the fastest and most powerful HB in vet. His conditioning allowed him to break tackles and out run tired DBs down the field where the other HBs were slowing way down at the same point. Soon after everyone was building high conditioning HBs. Sure with low conditioning HBs you have energy to start the play but not end it.
