I think most bugs are fixed (most not all correct me if I'm wrong) and the sim has been pretty good, so new content is what you get (no complaints).

I'm mot sure why he quit when he did, he had good chances at Vet that season since a lot of teams retired or had to reset. I would enjoy playing him again, as well as Bronx, BSB, etc.
