I don't watch a lot of CB/WR interactions, but those I do the CB when deflecting the ball just knocks it down...

I meant it flew 7 yards back toward the QB after he swatted it. usually it just kinda drops down or goes a yard or two behind the CB.

ye its fairly regular apparently, to some extent. I've seen it once more since - guess I just never noticed building mainly HBs and DTs.

Bort used to say that replays like that were bigger wins in the deflecting roll. So you would have dominated that roll hence the huge swat.
