sorry not gonna take the time to go find them tho

I was gonna post a replay titled "Why agility matters" but didn't. Everyone has seen those low level replays where the dot take 40 acres to get turned around.

That would be a useful thread. Too many agents go end build with 79 agi on a d-back or linebacker
then get pissed off when the dot is stuck on STs...

Found another gem for you. I could've put it into the 70+ TD thread but, c'mon... rookie ya know? Once you watch it, take a moment and close your eyes. Imagine it's real and picture the returner... running flat out... beating the last tackler... SUDDENLY... "IT'S THE SIDELINE!!!" He slams on the brakes... tippytoes for about 5-10 yards... then wipes the sweat from his brow... realizes he's lost all his speed and the cavalry is coming.... his the gas and is gone. Disaster averted.

Ok... I had heard some time ago about the GLB 'Bog Monster'. This elusive creature that stalks GLB dots on the field, then... when they least expect it... it appears right under the dot causing it to become seemingly 'stuck in place'. Thank god it was a CPU dot... and my punter thanks you, Bog Monster.

I mean, it's either that or every dot in that play knows there was a punt... except the returner. Blind dots? Shoes untied? Goodrich blimp???

That's standard practice for a returner who thinks the punt is going to make it to the end zone for a touchback. Problem is, the returner has low Vision and miscalculated how far the ball was going to bounce, and it didn't make it to the end zone.

Soooooo... sticky glue on the football caused it to plant inside the 5 and the returner is clueless? Cool.

Well, the ball bounces a couple of times and comes to rest at the 1, and at that point the returner can do 3 things: run over to pick up the ball and get tackled at the 1, run over to pick up the ball and FUMBLE it at the 1, or let the gunners down the ball at the 1 while he watches from a safe distance without spending any Energy. Once the initial mistake of miscalculating if the ball will reach the end zone has been made, the least-bad option for the returner is still to stay right where they are.

Oh, I get that. All my time as ST coach showed me a lot of buggy lookin things over the years but... usually when a returner declines to pick up the ball, it looks like this; http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2954878&pbp_id=1149960
I mean... at least he MOVES. I think that's the first time I've ever seen a dot just stand there without a twitch or a clue as to what is happening. O_o

That figures. Well, what it would show is the returner at least moving to make the catch... realizing as the ball lands that he's not going to get there so he stops... ball downed inside the 5. Most replays I've seen where the returner doesn't field the ball and allows it to be downed the returner at least makes some kind of move... not just stand there like he's shoelaces were tied together.
