Yay, another year of laid back settings league! Here is the standings as I see it on Day 1....we'll see how close I am....
1. Running Gag (Western) - I mean come on, they won the cas pro tourney last season as level 73 dots. They are coming in on a 105 game win streak and most importantly, they have been here before and are back with a "better version". Their last version they finished a 5 year run with 2 Tourney Championships and 3 Golds....not too bad. Disaster is a master (see what i did there) of the build process and the casual game, they should be heavy favorites with the biggest target on their backs coming in. Projected finish 16-0 and 1st in Conference
2. Sofia Spiders (Eastern) - All Sofia has done in the last 5 seasons is bring home 3 silver and 2 Championships, and may have snuck in another one last season if I didnt lose track of the freaking days and not set the tactics calendar (yeah, still bitter about that) but that's besides the point. This is spider's 2nd team through and he continues to improve each team he rolls through. If anybody can give Gag a game or a scare, methinks this is the team to give it a shot. Projected Finish 15-1 and 1st in Conference.
3. Chocolate Blaze (Eastern) - The blaze are also another team that has some good Cas Pro experience and know how to get it done up here. Overall competition has gone down and the league is more top heavy, but the blaze belong in this group. I dont know if they will have the firepower (see what i did again...) to get it done against the top 2 in the league but I see them only slipping up once when they shouldnt en route to a 2nd place finish. Projected Finish 12-4 and 2nd in Conference
4. Ghost Creek Cowboys (Eastern) - New kids on the block, straight from a spider invite. I'm happy they PM'd support and volunteered to come up. They look like they will provide some great competition and have an impressive rookie season. I have them as the 4th best team in the league, so dont disappoint. I think they are good enough to be 3rd but will have some growing pains and take at least 2 losses they shouldn't. Projected Finish 11-5 and 3rd in Conference
5. Montenegro Meat (Western) - These guys were a hard one for me. They are Cas Pro Vets and know how to get it done. They looked to sleepwalk through the first part of last season, then turn it on halfway through and then go back into a coma for the playoffs. I think they are dangerous to beat anybody 3-12 but also able to drop the ball and lose to anybody 3-9. Projected Finish 9-7 and 2nd in Conference.
6. Pittsburgh Steelerz (Eastern) - Back for another year, the Steelerz provided some solid competition. Although they only were able to nab 6 wins last season they had quite a few close losses. This year they make the playoffs. Projected finish 8-8 and 4th in Conference.
7. Senior Dots Not Dead Yet (Western) - They look to be still trying to fill up. They are not all senior dots so dont be fooled. I think they will win some games they shouldnt and are lucky to be in the western conference. I do see them getting the 3 seed. Projected finish 7-9 and 3rd in Conference
8. Herman's Horns (Western) - I think I have them too low actually because I think early in the season they can steal some wins against some of their conference foe's that they may get trounced later in the season. What im4ut has done in decline is pretty amazing, even giving the champions from last season a pretty good game at 559 days old last season. In the end though I feel as if it's going to be too tough to compete in the back half of the season as decline sets in deeper. Being in the western conference though i do see them finishing with the 4 seed and maybe flirting with the 3 seed, if they want to play in cas pro at 600 days old, they will have that chance. Projected finish 6-10 and 4th in Conference.
9. Houston Vikings (Eastern) - They stayed in Cas Pro as not enough good teams could come up. They are good enough to beat the CPU marred teams but I think they are going to have trouble with the full teams. Provide good competition but lacks the firepower to make some real noise. Projected finish 3-13 and 5th in Conference.
10. Oklahoma-Outlaw Redneck-Ninjas (Western) - They do have over 40 human dots but many of them are underlevelved. I do see them getting a couple wins from the CPU marred teams but that's about it. Projected finish 3-13 and 5th in Conference
11. Tampa Bay Bulls (Eastern) - Not much to say here, they only have around 20 human dots, only win could come from the nearly all CPU tets in cross conference action. Projected finish 1-15 and 6th in Conference.
12. Full Perky Tets (Western) - After winning the championship last season the Tets decided to demote but support didnt get the memo, They return with at the moment a mighty 4 man roster....I think they are going to have depth issues on the season. Projected finish 0-16 and 6th in Conference
As you can see I think the Eastern Conference is by far the toughest of the 2 leagues however the best team resides in the West. Eastern Conference will win more games week 6-10 however the Gold should go to the western side. Time will tell.....tick...tock...
Projected Playoffs
1. Gag over 4. Horns in a blowout 3. Senior dots over 2. Meat in an upset of epic proportions
1. Spiders over 4. Steelerz in a blowout 3. Cowboys over 2. Blaze in a close hard fought game
Round 2 1. Gag over Meat in a blowout
1. Spiders over Cowboys in a not so close game
Championship Game 1 Gag over Spiders - Sofia will give Gag their best game of the season but in the end Disa just has it too dialed in....
Hope this season with the loss of all the inactives, we are a lot more competitive. Hope to surprise some teams this year. Thanks for doing these. Look forward to my second season in pro.
