At the start of the season I would not have even tried to make an argument stating that Zeta Conference was better than Alpha Conference, but with the way everything is shaping up it looks like the conferences are a lot more comparable than i originally thought. Frankly i have been surprised by the strength of Zeta (Stirling in particular, still at #1 nice job), and it appears that both conferences have a legitimate argument for being "best". Both conferences have some obviously strong teams at the top.

Now I realize that there is no way to actually make a numerical comparison of the two conferences because we never mix until game 16, but with interleague play fast approaching I just thought that I would get the debate started early...which is best?

Was Alpha, is Alpha and will always be Alpha....

The week 16 game between Whales and Knossos should tell us something

Last season it was Alpha as shown by interleague play and those scrimmages. I know not everyone took them seriously, but Alpha still won the vast majority of those.

Zeta has really improved this season and I'm excited to see how the interleague games play out. That game against Wales is going to be a tough one. I just hope we make it there with these next 3 games...

JMHO as well and it's not a slight by any means to Zeta. For some reason Alpha has 8/9 deep teams that are very competitive along with the top teams.

Probably Alpha is better than Zeta, but dosen't matter the top teams are close and everything can happen.

True - I think Alpha still has the edge at the top - a number of Alpha teams would do better if moved to Zeta IMHO.

Still, Zeta have a number of tough teams, and both divisions are competitive.

You can honestly tell me that you can look at the Wales depth chart and not be afraid to play them? Wales just played the worst team in Zeta and beat them 33-10 (not 185-0 as would be the case in Alpha). Wales is the only team in the league with a 39 rating.

Even with most of Alpha conference putting up inflated numbers against their bottom of the barrel teams, many Wales players still manage to keep up on the league leader boards.

And as of now Wales isn't even the number 1 team in the conference. Just look at some of the teams on both sides and you might see that Alpha might not be the best conference.

I have looked at teams on both sides, and yes, levels wise Wales are a team that would be strong in Alpha too - however, I think Alpha have more strong teams in general - it's certain there would be some overlap in talent - I would never accuse every Alpha team of being better than Zeta.

Didn't you saw the München rating

But everything isn't the rating, look at Stirling, for me is the team with best strategy in the league. They are not by far the best team in the conference but they defeated Whales and Bees. I think than they will finish first.

Look at this schedule:

- We (Spaniard) must to play against Wales and Montcut
- Wales against us, Bees and Knossos
- Striling will have their most dificult match against München


Strategy is also important

Ratings are utterly meaningless. Vice City are equalled or beaten in most ratings yet how many games have they lost?

Alpha will dump all over Zeta in week 16. I will personally guarrentee it.

Meh, I thought Alpha dominated Zeta in the beggining but I think it is actually pretty even. I think that the week 16 games wont favor one conference over the other
