I know this is going to come off as complaining, and it should because I am. But my HB has 88 grip, is set to north/south and fumbles a ridiculous amount. Does anyone else agree that the fumbling ratio for HBs is off, and has been off since last season? I will probably just end up getting brace for impact because it seems to be 100% necessary for any HB that doesn't want to fumble 1+ times per game, but that seems kind of stupid to me. Get this SA or fumble a bunch of times. Turnovers in general are way too prevalent in the meta. I've complained about this before to no avail. I really don't want to be forced to max out grip or get an SA because you can't function without one of the two or both, but that seems like the only option.

Grip needs to be 90+

90+ grip to not fumble multiple times per game seems a little bit restrictive. The difference between 88 and 93 shouldn't be that drastic.

I find it hard to believe every single team is full of all power hitters with high strip tech. I've also been under the impression strip tech didn't do enough to be worth the points.

I think it's true of power runners because they get hit multiple times on each play. Elusive runners do okay with considerably less.

And I think that's fair, if you want a guy who can run over 4 or 5 tacklers he needs to have a better grip on the ball.

I don't disagree with the concept, but shouldn't 88 be a better grip on the ball than 2+ fumbles per game? That's all that doesn't jive for me. When his HB was at 70 grip and it was happening I could sorta see the issue, but going from 70 to 88 hasn't seemed to make as much of an impact as I'd have expected.

The difference between 88 and 90 certainly should not be all that stark. Fumbling in the NFL is actually super uncommon. I'm not saying there shouldn't be any fumbling at all in what is basically a football video game. But I am saying that if you narrow this season's scope to relevant games (where we weren't playing the tier below us) Vinz has 13 fumbles in 199 rushes.

88 grip translates to 6.5% fumble rate in same tier games?

I don't think power backs fumble enough. There is no balance with them anymore.

In our last run our power back had 90 grip and led the tier in fumbles. Now 90+ power tackling seems to never cause fumbles they just get run over. I feel my team is at a big disadvantage without a true power back because now there is no downside.

7 fumbles in 12 games. 71 carry grip. No brace for impact.

Was told last season that pure power backs arent good enough.

Our HB is currently #1 in the HoF strangely. He just gets stopped in short yardage and gets tackled for a loss way too often. When we play powerbacks they often break the first tackle and get long gains. Makes me envious. I think pure powerbacks are the only way to go right now.

The great combo backs make me envious as far as playing bad teams and racking up stats but i really like our pb for exactly what osiris said, they get the tough yards more often than the glory stat players.

I have figured this out too finally. Glory stats only take you so far. I'd rather get the first down (And the subsequent championships). EDIT: this is if things stay as they are right now.
