I have a new journeyman, i just recruited him to a new veteran team, 5 hours after we went into this offseason negotiations period. so far i don't see the button.

is it just that journeyman to veteran is just too big of a leap, legally? or am I just suppose to wait for the button like a few days?

It was there for my guys. It was on the left side just above the player skills and below the Boosts' tab

Your QB doesn't have any games played as a Journeyman, so there is nothing to catch up to. It is meant for players that are between the tiers.
