What should be the end build speed for a G and OT? I am pretty sure the speed will be different for run first offense compared to pass first offense, especially on outside run plays.
You've pretty much got it, JDP. It really depends on your OC's style/approach to the game. If you've got an OC who wants QB runs (usually outside) and fast HB's off sweeps and counters, then you're talking PULLING Guards (not sure if Tackles pull too in GLB's version of football) which means you need speed. I would guess 75 wouldn't cut it here... likely 80+ speed needed at least.
If you're OC wants to run a mixed/standard approach then you can get by with less... say 70-80?
However, if your OC is a 'hand it to the powerback 80-100% of the time' kinda guy... then why do you even need speed? 60-75 is plenty.

Pass blockers need less speed than Run blockers, can't really say what is best, but I once had a left OT who rarely let up a sack or hurry with speed less than 60. As pointed out a few times, he sucked blocking on sweeps, but then he was build for an all passing team.

Tackles not as much speed, as far as guards i like at least 82 even if they are not pulling. Watch a guard hit the line that has sufficient speed cake the first d player he encounters then hurries downfield to block a second d player. I use to put first step on my guards also until everyone wanted pummel and AoI. Don't think i ever went past 84 or 85 though, comes a time when pumping speed to much will hurt your other attrs.

Took speed to 90 on a couple of pulling guards a while back...I quite liked them.

I've always wondered about those G's. They were awesome in that run of WL wins.

Both 3....wouldn't be able to hit the same numbers if went with 4 AEQ.....probably some of the last 3 AEQ dots I ever built tbh.
