Is it just me or is free agency awful for players? I've got decent players with little to no interest. This leads to signing with a CPU team. There are way too many CPU teams to players so CPU teams are watered-down, CPU players take a lot of plays away from the human-controlled players, and the marketplace does not include players with ads on CPU teams...
How is the experience for coaches and GMs looking for players?

A lot of guys won't even look at the marketplace, they'll use the forums instead.

When I was recruiting for GSM, I tried to use the marketplace as best I could, but the vast majority of players I reached out to fell into two categories:

1) Never responded to messages or just rejected my offer without a reason.
2) Did respond but they said they're already committed to a team and didn't realize they were in the marketplace.

So as an owner/GM/recruiter it can be a little discouraging to recruit via the marketplace, and it's much easier to make a thread where the agents find you.

I have not had much luck posting in Teams Looking for Players, but I often look at Players Looking for Teams when recruiting. Marketplace is definitely hit or miss, but I do sign players from there.

I hate when guys post themselves to FA but don't have their builds open and/or take 7-10 days to respond to your message.

Thanks for the feedback. It doesn't help that posting an ad will automatically close your build to the public.

I didn't know that. It explains a lot.

The other big area is players on CPU teams who haven't opened their builds.

It didn't show my players on CPU teams when I did a search, even with builds open. The system is wack.
