Are there any script writers out there that know how to un-break them?

Thanks!

It's a Grease Monkey issue. Had the same problem. Had to download FF Nightly to get a new enough version of GM to be supported. The VPB is broken, but page scripts seem to work.

FF was also giving me the "user profile unavailable" error, so I had to uninstall/reinstall and then delete the profile folder from some obscure location so that FF would create a new default profile.

You could be in for a long process...
Makes one more excuse to quit GLB altogether.

I haven't updated it because I know the new FF will break the scripts, http://www.greasespot.net/. Apparently there are a few things to tweak (and maybe more) to get it to work. Sadly it's above my skill level!~

This really stinks. The good thing is the new Firefox is really fast but without greasemonkey scripts, I want to go back to the old one. I could never figure out why Bort wouldn't implement the really good ones still remaining.

It says the GS are Legacy now and disabled.

You can install Tampermonkey instead, I got it to run most of the greasemonkey scripts - but there are 2 that won't run that are deal breakers for me so I am still running the old FF.

Download tampermonkey and load VPB then disable the greasemonkey version of VPB scirpt.

I had two download the older version of FF & reinstall then do the same with Greasemonkey & everything works again. Just turn updates off for now if you haven't updated to ver. 57 yet. I could probably fix a couple, but it would take some time which I don't have right now. I hate working with scripts though because it is to much like work.
If you want to use the newer version of FF just use tampermonkey, as stated above, and deal with what works & what doesn't work.

That one works, but there is a pbp filter script that doesn't that I use regularly http://userscripts-mirror.org/scripts/show/33496

what a hassle, saved the profile, then rolled back to 56, tried to copy over the profile and while it seemed to work the VPB still broken, tried downloading again and have installed tmonkey but it says no script is running

It seems that Firefox 57+ will have a new Greasemonkey that will be backwards incompatible

I sent in a support ticket to see if VPB can be incorporated into GLB. Meantioned scouting as well.

Greasemonkey 4 Announcement
Greasemonkey has been a Firefox extension for well over a decade, with version 0.3.5 dating from 2005. We've grown and changed a lot over that time. With the upcoming Firefox 57 release, we need to change even more. Mozilla is completely replacing the extension system in Firefox, to align with the budding Browser Extension standard, based on/shared with Google Chrome.

As a result, version 4 of Greasemonkey is a nearly complete re-write. Its interface and feature set have been rebuilt in order to best to work with coming Firefox versions. A variety of compromises have been made. We've elected to make a rare backwards incompatible change.
