Here is where I'd like to create a discussion about successful builds for QB's. As I will be linking these posts to the Build discussion page, and linking that page to the Overall Successful Page.

With the QB you have 3 main options; Dual Threat, Rushing, or Passing.

Again this is something that should be planned out in advance towards whatever game plan you want your QB to be apart of.

I will start off discussing my personal favorite, which is the PASSING QB. The Passing QB I prefer for my Combo Offense, but dual threat could work here as well. Passing QB also goes with the Pure Passing Attack offenses.

When you create a Passing QB, I do suggest starting off as Tall and light weight as possible. Then assigning his points you want to remember end build goals. Here I will put suggested ranges for a successful QB;

Pass Tech: 80-95
Pass Accuracy: 85-100
Pass Power: 45-60
Pass Consistency: 50-90
Pocket Awareness: 50-80
Pass Awareness: 40-60
Conditioning: 45-70
Toughness: 35-50
Heart: 40-70
Leadership: 50-85

Those are the attributes you really want to focus on when building a Passing QB. The reason the ranges are set up that way is because the actually build will depend on your preference and teams build.
The questions to keep in mind when determining this is, how are my receivers going to be built? Are they going to have more spend and less hands? More heart and awareness? Is the team planning on running more than Passing? Is the defense going to be good enough to keep the opponent score lower or are we going to be playing from behind?

Thanks for posting these, Joker! Nice to see some initiative in helping the new guys since it takes so long to get the hang of GLB.

I'll say that the floor of Conditioning is pretty low - I don't ever want my QB to be below 60. Just a personal preference but they throw awful passes a lot of the time when they are at 0 energy.

For pure passing I would suggest 80+ pass consistency.

Here is a sample glb2scout build for a passing QB

Does anyone have a good non S* Dual Threat build?

Dual threat trait is way better then precision passer even for pure passing QBs, pass accuracy is a bit overrated, and the trait lowers pass tech cost (the most important).

Pass tech > Pass con > Pass acc

I agree the floor is on the low side, but I put it as a minimum point for people to explore and decide based on preference. I like the QB around 60or70 myself.

Pass tech > Pass con > Pass acc

This is correct.

Hmm, always preferred Pass acc over Pass tech. Seems to help out on long throws, and in bad weather.

My opinion is that it depends on your offensive game plan and receiver builds to determine what's more important than the other.

i just max out both to 100 or 90 for a non super star.

Good point. The extra caps make building so much easier now. Will hit around 100 for both Acc/Con for Tecmo Tom, and likely leave Tech at 90 so I can push Pocket Awareness higher(so OTR fires more).

Footwork is really worthless on a QB?

Can you do build examples on Duel Threat and Scrambling QB? Thanks

I actually value footwork for the ability in combination with pocket awareness to really buy time shifting in the pocket. The higher the investment the faster he can shift - but it's also a tradeoff because the QB has to invest in so many other areas to such a high degree that the cost of footwork is painful.

Yeah I practiced with a pass awareness/footwork test a while back and it was pretty dope. He couldn’t throw for shit until about pro and the end build was basically rookie season Russell Wilson (just without the speed).
