In recent seasons - it seems that Bortdog has begun making changes to the game generally based around exactly what the community is suggesting they do. Could be several reasons for that -- but in any case - they are listening to the community and following the community suggestions more than they have ever done before.

So - with that in mind -- and with next season 1 month away -- now is the time.

Premise: You are sitting down for a beer with BortDDdog -- you have been asked for your ideas -- what would you do next season and beyond to begin growing this game? -- both financially for BortDDdog - and in user base?

stupid ideas will be mocked (maybe not by me though)

Better incentives for referrals. 50 flex is peanuts.

Make legit Mobile apps for android/iPhone. Micro transactions do great on mobile, and there zero reason why a retro styled game wouldn't work well. Seems like a no-brainer

I think this one suggestion could go a long way in keeping potential great agents who will invest time and money in the game.

Let every agent have as many S*s as they want.

People get in this game and say "how in the hell can I compete at Vet against teams with 9 S* if I want to own and control my own team". The answer is you cannot...unless you get several multis. I truely believe this runs off a TON of folks. Not everybody wants to team up with others, and for good reasons. Even the most consistent agents leave the game and then they screw your team, which you have worked hard and put money in to create.

How do we do this?

For the 1st 3 S*s (tiers, 1, 2 and 3), leave exactly how it currently is. You have to get the 10/15/20 seasons to get the S* points. Then, for each additional S*, pay additional flex...like +500 flex or something. If an agent is willing to create and fund his entire team, he will shell over the additional flex it cost to get those additional S*s.

It's a win/win.

GLB gets more flex and more agents are retained and there are many, more competitive teams.

LOL...already a down vote. You wanted a suggestion, there it is. You want this game to grow, give the agents what they want to create and compete with their own team.

One of those guides that similar browser games have, that you progress gainning rewards, like: step one: create a player, step two: use skill points, step 3: assign a signiture ability, step 4: join a team, etc...rewarding some flex points too.

3 Free players.

Better UI, meaningfull titles and awards, lower the price of the game, ownership is very expensive.

Starter accounts having some flex points, maybe like 500-1k.

Better forum access, more visible, i don't know, i feel like a lot of people don't even know it exists.

More self explanatory info, like what attributes really do, size, weight, explain skill caps, cap boosts, etc.

In general a noob friendly game.

And make a basketball game like GLB2 please, it could help both games, i bet a lot of guys here would help the project, and it could bring new players for both games with a good social media presence.

How about have a place where you can go to look at records? I still can't believe that a football game doesn't have a place for records. That should have been the 1st thing they put in the game.

Most of the problem has to do with most of the veteran agents. To those who are new, a lot of them seem like assholes when you first get on the forums (which we all are, but we're lovable ones) and team recruiting is shite. And the marketplace is pretty meaningless.

Bortie and Cornydog should be more vocal, we are blessed with a message from Corndog rarely and Bort only does the changelog. More communication and more willingness to stop being selfish assholes is a big key in getting users to stay.

It'd also be cool if there was like a feed that showed new users. Maybe we could chat them or send them a PM (since chat kinda sucks dick) to welcome them to the game.

obvious agenda is obvious, you're literally trying to increase the divide between power users and casual users.

No, I'm trying to suggest a way to keep more power users from leaving. How many "power" users do you think logged in, started playing and then said "how in the hell can I compete with all the S* teams with just 3 S*s? Screw this, I'm out"

I think power users leave due getting tired of coaching and/or owning a team, takes a lot of time, and if you want a "good" team you have to take care of all builds, probably create 5-20 players, wasting a lot of money. And the competition isn't good, there are 2-4 competitive teams per tier each season. The awards are meaningless, just a trophy figure and some community recognition for winning.

It's all about getting the game out there and recognition.

I look at power users as the guys with money to blow. Which if that is the case they could really whip up this game in a hurry if they really had the ambition and a little time to research the forums and watch some of the better teams play.

#1 Ability to purchase a league and fill the league with teams and players that are owned by friends on here so they can compete against each other for many seasons together...this would be beneficial for starting up rivalries, since teams would be grouped together in the same league for the life of the league.
#2 Add things for players to spend their salary on...at the moment they get paid but can't do anything with that pay.
#3 Add an All-Star Game/ProBowl Game and MVP Race to the Senior/Legend League...makes no sense why that is the only league without it.
#4 Add more team color options...we can never have enough combinations of colors on the field and on the gear.
#5 An Optional Draft System
