This is the second time the has happened to me. I have played multiple games and pick up games just before I advance a tier and I stop gaining experience. WTF is this something I am going to have to deal with every tier??

If the LB and was a playoff game I don't think you get xp. Will the next ladder game though and should level on rollover

I responded to your Support Ticket. It's just the playoff games that don't award EXP. Your players will still complete their tiers.
