12-0 on the season to date but with the weekend I missed a prediction. Let's get back to it for tonight's games.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - WEEK 3
Hotties Pride RB Sawyer Santangelo. In a 44-42 over DIABLO Sawyer carried the ball 14 times for 133 yards (9.5 ypc) while scoring two TD's in the upset.

WEEK 4 PREDICTIONS
The Illuminaughty vs. Running Gag - Gag is unbeaten and Ill hasn't one a game - you do the math...here, I'll help you out...77-0.

1.21 JJ WATTS vs. Charlestown Chiefs - Chiefs will simply put too many points on the board for JJ to keep up....38-23.

Chile Casual Chupacabras vs. Bad Blood - The two trying to separate themselves from the bottom two in the conference - it will be bloody but BB will get the W...38-17.

Trick Pony vs. Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - The lone undefeated teams in the East but I got Pony in this one...24-20.

DIABLO DOTS vs. Chocolate Blaze - Both teams off to a rocky start at 1-2 but the DOTS should come out on top here...27-13.

Hotties Pride vs. The Last of the Mohicans - Pride with the big win over the DOTS last week after a couple of heartbreaking losses - look for the mo to continue this week for Hotties...34-17.

POWER RANKINGS
1. Running Gag - Played two of the conference top teams and won easily. Putting up 76 ppg so good luck slowing them down.
2. Trick Pony - With the HOOD on deck it will be a solid test as they've not had the toughest schedule to date.
3. HOOD - Defense is carrying this squad as they've only given up 4.33 ppg. Not killing it on O and a tough stretch of four in a row coming up.
4. Charlestown Chiefs - Have not been putting up a ton of point but save for the lone loss only giving up 10 ppg.
5. 1.21 JJ WATTS - failed miserably against Running and the two wins are against teams with a 1-5 record so could be a very short stay in the top five.

EARLY PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS

Gag over BB
Chiefs over 1.21

Gag over Chiefs
-----
Pony over Pride
HOOD over DOTS

Pony over HOOD
----
Gag over Pony

The perfection could not last forever as I dropped the first game of the season and move to 17-1 on the season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - WEEK 4
Returner Djoser MVP, Trick Pony. In the first half the score was 14-7 in favor of Trick when Djoser returned a punt 83 yards to give them some breathing room. Pony end up beating HOOD 28-14 as MVP helped the cause with four kick returns for 105 yards (26.3 average) and three punt returns for 122 yards and the score (40.7 average).

WEEK 5 PREDICTIONS
Bad Blood vs. 1.21 JJ WATTS - BB got to .500 with the win this past week but will need to keep the wheels moving forward as they play a hurting 1.21 squad coming off two straight losses - check that, make that three...31-24.

Running Gag vs. Chile Casual Chupacabras - These were not close last season and I expect much of the same this go around...80-0.

Charlestown Chiefs vs. The Illuminaughty - Chiefs are starting to play better each time out and that unfortunate for a struggling Ill team who's yet to put a mark in the win column - don't uncap that pen just yet...38-6.

The Last of the Mohicans vs. Trick Pony - Last got a W this past week against an all rushing team but I have the Pony as a bit better - it will show in this one...34-10.

Chocolate Blaze vs. Hotties Pride - Make no mistake as this game will be crucial in the fight for the 4th playoff spot. After the upset the Pride laid an egg last week and a similar performance will have them at 1-4. The Blaze are in a similar boat - one that's filling up with water FAST. The Blaze struggled against the lone all rushing team they faced and expect the Pride to get back on track...24-23.

Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual vs. DIABLO DOTS - This one will be about who get the home field in the first round of the playoffs. Seasons ago this would have been a bit of trash talking but now it's just a ho-hum let's get it on. They'll get another shot or two to avenge this loss. HOOD has won four of the last five - make that five of the last six...31-24.

POWER RANKINGS
1. Running Gag - Just steamrolling opponents to the point where you feel sorry for the next opponent.
2. Trick Pony - Have not been dominate like Gag but they're sitting at 4-0 on the season.
3. Charlestown Chiefs - made short work of 1.21 and the only slip up was against Gag. Looking strong on the season so far.
4. Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - Took one on the chin against Pony but in a very competitive game.
5. DIABLO DOTS - Bounced back in solid form after the upset in week three hanging 91 on the scoreboard.

Dropped Out:
-1.21 JJ WATTS

I thought everyone was running the same thing now. Just a couple that like to spam a couple formations and directions.

GG Trick Pony way to completely shut down our offense.

It's the time of year where teams throw in the towel but not in Casual Pro. We all know several teams will get in the playoffs with losing records and this season is no different. I'm fortunate to be in lovely El Paso, Texas for work for the next five plus weeks so unless I'm swamped I'll stay afloat with the predictions and the top flight league analysis (yuck yuck yuck).

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - WEEK 5
Kicker, KICK DA BALL. The Bad Blood kicker scored all 12 of his teams points in a 12-9 victory against 1.21.

WEEK 6 PREDICTIONS
Bad Blood vs. Hotties Pride - These teams are up and down much like a roller coaster. This game will put one team ahead of the other and of course I need to go with BB in this one. We're not tearing it up on O so it will be a low scoring affair...17-13.

The Illuminaughty vs. DIABLO DOTS - DOT have to be feeling good after getting stunned pulling a stunner of their own. Look for the DOTS to continue the winning ways over a struggling Illuminaughty squad...45-6.

Running Gag vs. Chocolate Blaze - I know they say you have to play the game but we all know what's about to happen here...80-10.

Charlestown Chiefs vs. Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - This one should be a good one but I've got too much fire power on the Chiefs side and the letdown at the end of the game for HOOD could be contagious...30-23.

1.21 JJ WATTS vs. Trick Pony - 1.21 seems to struggle against the better rushing teams and que in "one of the better rushing teams." Pony will open it up as the game moves along and make for a lopsided final...48-24.

Chile Casual Chupacabras vs. The Last of the Mohicans - These two had a battle last season (27-24) that favored CCC. The chemistry is getting better for the Mohicans but I'm not certain the game play has mapped out to that. I expect another barn burner and I'm going with CCC...23-20.

POWER RANKINGS
1. Running Gag - the only shocker from this week is they didn't hit 100 for the third week in a row.
2. Trick Pony - will have the chemistry at 100's across the board from here on out - look out.
3. Charlestown Chiefs - laid up 76 on the week and are in clear command of the two hole in the West.
4. DIABLO DOTS - shook things up in the East with a big win over the HOOD.
5. HOOD - Gave up 10 points in the final 40 second to get upended by the DOTS. Two tight losses under the belts this season.

Thanks for the thanks.

The season is flying on by and that lingering question of who wants to take control of their own destiny and slide into those three and four spots in each conference. We had two OT games this week and it's seems like a while since I've seen that. I'd normally get all rah rah with the time I'll be in front of my PC over the next few weeks like busting out CP stat leaders but I trashed my spreadsheets a while ago and don't really feel like revisiting ehe exeperience of copying, pasting, formatting the various seasons. I noticed I started a top 50 list of all time in one of my private forums and just never finished it. Not many of us around these days (me included) and the output and time not worth the reward...reap it.

WEEK 6 - PLAYER OF THE WEEK
RB Bam Rotterdam, Chile Casual Chupacabras. Bam laid the hammar to the Mohicans as the dot carried the ball 21 times for 265 yards (12.6 ypc) while scoring three TD's. The game went to OT and you already know who scored the game winner in the Chupacabras 27-20 victory over The Last of the Mohicans.

WEEK 7 PICKS

DIABLO DOTS vs. 1.21 JJ WATTS - Like what I'm seeing out of the DOTS and not so much out of 1.21...38-24.

The Last of the Mohicans vs. Charlestown Chiefs - Chiefs were blanked this week but I don't think that will happen two weeks in a row...38-6.

Hotties Pride vs. Running Gag - Gag is doing work on the league and this week will be another wreckage...70-0.

Trick Pony vs. The Illuminaughty - Pony will ride off into the sunset and The Illuminaughty will remain without a win...80-0.

Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual vs. Chile Casual Chupacabras - HOOD got untracked last week and I expect that to continue although CCC won't go down without a fight and will be closer than the experts think...24-6.

Chocolate Blaze vs. Bad Blood - The Blaze have not been on fire and Blood is bleeding to try to put points on the board. Since Rube is my boy I have to go BB in another tight low scoring one (how about some props to the BB D - holding it down)...20-17.

GLB Rankings Here's what GLB thinks about y'all (sorry, had to get a little Texan in there and note since I'm originally from Wisconsin I say "you guys" and refuse to say y'all...just a little too trashy for my liking).
5. Trick Pony - 3349
7. Running Gag - 3333
21. Bad Blood - 3079
28. Charlestown Chiefs - 3014
30. Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - 2950
43. Chile Casual Chupacabras - 2868
57. DIABLO DOTS - 2783
63. Hotties Pride - 2701
77. 1.21 JJ WATTS - 2641
111. The Last of the Mohicans - 2439
166. Chocolate Blaze - 2290
261. The Illuminaughty - 2141

BB's POWER RANKINGS
1. Running Gag - Scored 100+ points in half the games played this season with a low of 45. The league may as well bow down to the three fur.
2. Trick Pony - The "other" undefeated team in the league and looking better with each outing as the offense comes of age.
3. DIABLO DOTS - Seem to be off the radar but playing some good dotball right now with three W's in a row.
4. Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - Talk about redemption after losing straight. Big win over the Chiefs.
5. Charlestown Chiefs - Didn't put up a point against the HOOD and will need to be better or the top five may be a thing of distant memory.

GLB TOURNEY
Not often covered and since I have a few minutes...
-Only nine of the 12 league teams entered the tourney (shameful).
-Each team got a first round bye so no games at all in round one.
-Round two games have yet to be played.
There, now all up to date on the tourney happenings.

What Else Is Going On???
-17 left in CP survivor.
-The Red River Invitation is in full swing with 13 teams entered (BB and the Chiefs have advanced to round three (all R2 games not played yet)). for SugarKapaa for taking the time to do this.

That's all folks.
