I am going to butcher this, but will try. Instead of having coaches or GM's just sitting on the positions, have them be able to click SAs for upcoming game. Let's say, Wind Sprints a boost to conditioning and speed, Weight Room a boost to toughness and strength. Big Meal - Moral and Heart and so on.. It could keep folks a little involved and keep those coaching positions a little more active. Just seeing what might stick!

Would be cool... Drop the wind sprints though. If there was one skill that was so much favored it would simply become something to remember to click instead of thinking strategically about it. The concept would be alright if all potential choices were strategically viable and it did not become "click the same thing a day before each game" kind of thing.

good premise,would work well for coaches that predominantly run one style of offense or defense.

Even if you don't have coaches, if it was something you set up just like choosing which game plan in your tactics and can only choose 1. Then having only the Owner would work out and wouldn't matter how many coaches you have.
