Since my season is practically over, I am starting this thread and I hope this post gets paid attention to by the GLB Gods.

Snow is OP...there I said it. Weather itself isn't OP, but the way it was implemented is OP.

Let's establish some facts here.

1. Snow is OP for passing
2. Snow nurfs running game
3. Snow is OP for teams with high mental skills (heart/consistency)
4. Snow nurfs teams with high physicals and low mental skills

Now why is snow OP you ask? Because all the playoff games are in snow, and heavy snow is the worst. So, I chose to build my team with an all run team and high physicals and low mental skills. This destroyed my team in the playoffs. My defense's morale was at low levels almost the entire game in both my playoffs games, which lead to the opposition easily completing passes.

I actually like weather and think it gives another needed dimension to this game, but it needs to be reimplemented.

Here are my suggestions:

1. get rid of weather all together

2. keep weather how it is, but turn it off for the playoffs and the last ladder games so it doesn't impact the biggest games of the season

3. give each team a choice of a climate it wants to play it's home games in. Then you can build your team to thrive in that climate, AND it will give a home field advantage in the playoff, which is how it is suppose to be

********* Championship Game should be played in a dome....no weather *******

I prefer #3. Think it would be awesome to taylor fit your team to take advantage of the climate you play in.

Besides the fact that you are once again just pandering to make your team better, I actually agree with #3 but w/out your dumb/homer stipulation of championship game being played in a dome.

Snow isn't OP for passsing, snow is bad for the offense all together, but have a higher impact on the run. In pass snow helps defenders to stick with targets, so fast receivers suffer a huge nerf, not to mention the consistency and accuracy penalties.

But the fact that every season snow is on playoffs is indeed a bad thing.

Would be nice if there was Random Weather.. but can see spreading it across all the games would be a little tougher than just one forecast for all... I did just play the Miami Dolphins in the snow. .but that really could have been Miami of Ohio. so there is that...

snow hurts offenses at a whole, passing is hit just as bad as the run game, especially with high winds. snow really only benefits the defense.

snow every champ game is pretty dumb, it should be randomized each season

It would be better if they inverted weather every other season. Start with winter and end in Summer.

How is that a dumb suggestion? You think it is fair for teams that are built to not succeed in the snow play the playoffs in the snow? How about we do hot weather in the playoffs instead? Would that be fair to teams that suck in hot weather?

Snow is definitely a major nerf to teams that rely on speed. So much so that it creates an imbalance within the game. I still think its fine if home teams can select a weather region, and cold weather teams would occasionally get snow. But to force every team to play in it...certainly penalizes speed teams.

#3 would be a great move for the devs. If that's not possible do to the sim, then playoffs should be in neutral weather.

Finally somebody with common sense posts.

I hate to agree with GE but it doesn't make sense to have the playoff games come down to weather. Weather doesn't have a huge impact until late in the season. Seems backwards.

I kinda like this:

Or as others have mentioned have a home region and then you can build your team towards that.

Either way it's super frustrating to play a whole season in perfect weather then have the playoff games go completely off course.

I didn't like the idea of weather affecting games in any way. I think I was the only one and everyone passionately argued against me. Now it is a be careful what you ask for thing. I am fine with the way they implemented it. If you think passing is OP, pass more. If you skimp on mental skills well... It seems to buff diversity, which is a good thing imo.

Because it then really benefits those built for that. You would have to either randomize it for the whole glb each day, which should be easy to do. Or do the inversion thing. But always in a dome is the same as always in the snow, just opposite end of the spectrum (benefits you)

And the biggest problem is that weather is the same every playoffs, Snow, so affects negativelly a specific area of the game, should at least be diferent each season.
