Don't you guys think that adept is just useless? 2 points means 2 bronze abilities, absolutely no value in getting adept instead of a good trait, not to mention the salary hit, i can only see this being used for kicker or punter, and still won't do much.

So i suggest: Gives 3 extra SA points, maybe not in rookie, through the career, giving a silver ability or finishing a gold could be interesting, and i don't think it would be the best trait, not every position would have it, it would depend on the build. Maybe 14-16% salary to compensate a bit?

I agree and didn't realize how crappy that was until I was build planning for the new team. I was for some reason thinking it would allow for an extra silver ability which then would likely be worth it sometimes, but two bronze abilities is pretty crappy

Yah I was gonna make a similar suggestion after taking it on a guy and running him through. Getting a couple extra bronze abilities is pretty sad.

There are a few SAs that would be ok at bronze and better than others like HTH, RW, Second Wind, Showboat but the firing rate and boost for others is so minimal at bronze. At least the ones that I listed would be add something to builds reliably though. Giving 3 to get an extra silver might make adept slightly more appealing for certain positions. I am all about the end builds though and will not touch adept in its current form.

Or you could make a silver, a gold.

If they didn't know this before they went live, they should by now.

Long term, not much benefit. Short term - allows you to Gold an SA much quicker. Since I've been on the scene (5 or 6 seasons) it's pretty common for teams to get to 3rd or 4th year and then reset. Not really sure what's driving this, but I'm guessing it's a lack of competition at the higher levels. In that specific scenario, it might be worth it to have a Gold skill during soph season, or two silvers. If the game transitions to a world where teams go all the way to Vet, then I'm ready to slap the "no value" tag on it.

With the new Cap Boost abilities, I love the Combo of Natural and Early Bloomer for some many different positions

Problem is that if you added the value of all 4 of the SA's you list together at bronze they wouldn't equal the value of natural.

I am not saying natural is not better... All traits are not made equal and that has never really been the case. I already said that I wouldn't touch adept in its current form as well. Was just saying that there are only a handful of SAs that are even considerable at a bronze level. Even if adept fave 3 additional SA points I do not think I would use it personally. There might be a rare situation that an additional silver or taking a silver to gold SA would potentially be worthwhile to me. It would be great if multiple alternative builds would work as well as they should theoretically. Most teams end up with the same or very similarly built players though and the result is minimal trait differences from one player to another. If there was more viable ways to create players and still be successful, maybe some other traits could get some love.
