With custom defensive tags now implemented I would like to take the next step in dialing in the defensive system.

If you add a defensive play into a play book and change the tag I would like to be able to add the same play again in it's default tag form. You can then customize the tag again and repeat if you wish.

This will make it possible to have Multiple tag types and plays in one formation where you want say 4 different plays and have just two plays used in a different formation's playbook.

Example:
2WR....
Middle Overload (Short Inside Run)
C1 CB Fire (Short Run/Pass)
MLB Cloud (Medium Run/Pass)
ZEB (Long Run/Pass)

3WR....
Nickle TE Smother (Short Inside Run)
Nickle TE Smother (Short Run/Pass)
2 Man Press (Medium Run/Pass)
2 Man Press (Long Run/Pass)

Good thinking, it needs to be implemented.

Hence my suggestion long ago to simply copy the Defensive plays and add more tags so that there was a Short/Med/Long of each play.

Yeah but this way you wound't have to sort through so many plays and inside/Outside run, Pass, and Run/Pass can be utilized. We have the custom tags now so it shouldn't be a huge change.
