The addition of Weather is good. However, I believe it's caused a problem.

Hot weather is Elusive HB heaven.
Cold weather is Power HB time.

SHIP games are played in the Cold. Power HBs are better because over the season because of the SHIP games.

Which is why it's time for....

DOMES.

Or Build your own Stadium. Make this a one-time FLEX purchase. It would encourage long-term team ownership since giving up a team means giving up your Stadium.

Options:
Dome or Open
Grass or Turf

Example Bonuses: Turf gives all players +5 Quickness, +5 Footwork and +5 Sprinting. Grass is -5 to all.

Or something.

Turf should be great for Elusive HBs and Grass for Power HBs.
Domes are better for the Passing game with Open (Wind, Rain, etc.) bad for Passing.

I would love to have dome stadium, with a pool of sharks with freaking laser beams on their heads

Personally - just make weather random.

Sometimes Green Bay plays in Miami in December.

Sometimes Houston (dome) plays in Chicago in December.

etc etc.

Make weather completely random (but still forecast it) -- and off you go. Luck of the draw - maybe your elusive HB gets a cold weather superbowl (new york) - or maybe they get a warm weather superbowl (houston dome)

A better idea imo

Still think home-based weather makes the most sense. Gives teams an actually homefield advantage and makes playoff seeding worth something.

I like both ideas, stadium and random weather, if not random, at least changing every season, like: S25: invern early, S26: invern mid season, S27: invern late, S 28: invern playoffs

+1

Would be cool if we could pick a location as a home location. I still like random weather too, but lets say if you pick an area that it never snows... Just make rain the worst possible weather there or some shit

Can do both, choose a location that mostly snows, 50 % of the time, but randomly

I can't remember the whole idea I had at one time, but it was something along the lines of 4 regions you could pick from for your home area. Each region would have weather conditions for home games that would have an equal effect on skills. Cold weather might have the advantage of power running but a hit to elusive running and the passing game. A hot region might have an an elusive advantage but a drain on energy. A moderate region might be something where skills start leaning toward more average. The low end is bumped up but the high end is not an advantage. An arid region might favor a passing attack but favor tackling skills and also penalize energy. Things like that. The bottom line is you could build to the strength of your home region but in the end you will be severely punished if you ignore your away games. I am sure it would be difficult to develop a system where each area would have an equal advantage and disadvantage relative to the other regions.

Don't think it would be hard to build a system with equal advantages. You could even give an owner 2 opportunities in the regular season to either negate the advantages for an equal game or +5% to one players skills for an entire game. 2 promotions all season to use. Not in playoffs as that would be the advantage of seeds.

Sounds really familiar.
