-- 06:00 Senior League --

Leeds Chartered Accountants (12-2) vs Washington Wrinkles (11-3)
Last Meeting: Leeds won 38-13(Dec 23) Series: tied 8-8
Leeds rolled in their meeting back in December amassing 260 yards on the ground and adding 3 TD passes in route to a 25 point shellacking. Leeds boasts the 2nd best offense and defense in the Senior League and a pair of thousand yard rushers in Jordon Holland, and Jerome Brooks. The offense averages 24.9 points a game while giving up a pedestrian 14.1 points a contest. Washington will try to counter with the Senior Leagues finest passing offense featuring the 2 most prolific receivers in the league Andre"Bad Moon" Rison, and Calvin Hastings racking up 308.7 yards a game through the air and scoring 20.9 ppg while giving up 20.6 ppg. I expect to see alot of scoring, but fear that Washington may not have enough defense to hang with Leeds.

Eugene Elderly (12-2) VS Louisville Rollers (11-3)
Last Meeting: Louisville won 31-25(Dec 26) Series: Eugene leads 14-4
Last these 2 teams met it took overtime to decide the game. Eugene has been tearing up the league all season averaging 44.5 points and 546 yards per game, while boasting a league best defense giving up just 10.9 ppg. Louisville had the second best scoring offense and defense in Senior League averaging 28.1 ppg while giving up just 12.1 ppg. Louisville proved they could hang with the Juggernaut Elderly back in December, can they do it again?

#8 Detroit Deadites (13-1) vs #3 Alabama Crimson Tide (12-1-1)
Last Meeting: Bama won 14-13(Jan 16) Series: Tied 1-1
These teams handed eachother their only league losses this season. Alabama QB Ozzy Boles leads the league MVP race leading the Tide to 376.8 yards per game and 19.7 ppg while giving up only 231 ypg and 6.5 ppg. Detroit had 3 thousand yard rushers in HBs Shade Jackson, and Na-Je' Miller, and QB Colton Tomlinson leading the Deadites to 398.7 ypg and 27.7 ppg while the defense has stuffed opponents allowing only 223.6 ypg and 6.4 ppg. Defense has ruled both of the previous matchups between these teams and whoever can make the best offensive adjustments has the advantage this time.

#13 Coaching College (10-3-1) vs #25 Rhode Island Stags (7-6-1)
Last Meeting: 6-6 tie(Dec 20) Series: Tied 0-0-1
On paper Coaching College seem to have an offensive advantage as they average 22.2pp while Rhode Island only musters a pedestrian 10.9 ppg, defensively they match up somewhat better CC holds opponents to 11.3 ppg, while the Stags give up 13.5 ppg. One thing is safe to say this time we wont see another tie.

#3 Band of Brothers (12-2) vs #1 The Xenos (11-3)
Last Meeting: Xenos Won 38-30 (Today) Series: Xenos Leads 6-4
Xenos has beaten BoB the last 6 times theyve played. Jakinator Doodspearheads a powerful running game or the Xenos that leads a dynamic balanced attack averaging 750.6ypg and 71.7 ppg in league play, while holding opponents to 341.5 ypg and 19.4 ppg. BoB on the other hand has a similar approach led by first year HB Dragon Nightmare and averaging 655.5ypg and 58.6 ppg, the boast the leagues best defense holding opponents to 339.4ypg and 17.8 ppg. BoB will realy be relying on that D to reverse the losing streak against the Xenos and advance.

-- 10:00 Galahad League (Veteran) --

#2 Bronx Bombers (14-0) vs #8 Tokeneke Terrapins (11-3)
Last Meeting: Bronx won 73-7(Jan 4) Series: Bronx leads 6-1
Bronx has won 6 in a row in this series and Tokeneke hasnt held them below 60 points since sophomore season. Bronx HB Derek Jeter averages over 10 TDs per game in league play leading a prolific offensee that has dominated averaging 936.7 ypg and 96.6 ppg, while holding opponents to just 325.1 ypg and 14.6 ppg. The Terrapins QB Otto Lotto will have to have Gallahad's top passing offense in top form to compete. Tokeneke comes in averaging 522.1 ypg and 45.6 ppg while holding opponents to 423.5 ypg and 24.1 ppg. I have a feeling that the Terrapins who managed only 192 offensive yards in the regular season matchup are in for a long day.

#5 Blood, Sweat & Beers (13-1) vs #25 Freakville Swampcats (10-4)
Last Meeting: BSB won 52-24(Jan 7) Series: BSB leads 9-2
BSB HB's McChicken ., and Son Of Havoc lead a run first balanced offense designed to let the Beers top ranked all star defense control the game. BSB averages 825.1 ypg and 88.6 ppg on O while stifling opponents to just 315.9 ypg and 12.3 ppg. The Swampcats who have been exposed on the ladder all year will rely heavily on QB Buck Rogers and WRs Death Charger and Legendary Compilation who lead a pass first offense averaging 575.7 ypg and 43.1ppg while the defense yields 458 ypg and 29.6 ppg. Freakville will need some of that old playoff magic to pull this one off.

-- 11:00 Bacon League (Seasoned) --

#5 Deadman Genesis (13-1) vs #19 Gliwice Lions (9-5)
Last Meeting: Deadman won 48-7(Jan 19) Series: Deadman leads 6-0
Gliwice hasnt fared well against Deadman in the past but are looking to change that in their biggest matchup to date. DG will field a balanced offense led by dual thousand yard ballcarriers Leo Zosma and Jackie Kyle with the leagues best defense averaging 488.5 ypg and 36.8 ppg on offense while surrendering just 244.7 ypc and 9 ppg. Gliwice runs a pass heavy offense led by QB Marcin Kazmierczak, say that 3 times fast, they put up 352.9 ypg and 18.6 ppg, and their defense holds opponents to 337.9 ypg and 14.9 ppg. They will have to step it up to compete with Deadman.

#9 Los Diablos (11-3) vs #16 Hattiesburg VooDoo (10-4)
Last Meeting: Hattiesburg won 14-10(Jan 1) Series: Hattiesburg leads 2-1
Los Diablos came from out of nowhere this season to win Alpha Division, andnow get their first taste of postseason play against Hattiesburg. Los Diablos led by QB War Dog averages 440.5 ypg and 27.1 ypg while surrendering 369.1 ypg and 17.4 ppg. The VooDoo features a talented backfield of HBs Junior Collier Junior, Jr., Achilles Son of Peleus, and Lampley Richard spearheading a powerful rushing attack averaging 386.3 ypg and 21.4 ppg while the defense gives away 318.9 ypg and 13.9 ppg. On paper this looks like a very evenly matched game, and should be fun to watch.

-- 11:00 Black Mamba League (Professional) --

#2 Galactic Empire of the 80s (13-1) vs #4 Los Angeles Outlaws (12-2)
Last Meeting: GE won 20-17(Jan 16) Series: GE leads 5-2
GE, the Rex Ryan of GLB2, once again takes his Galactic Circus to the postseason with an offense led by HB Ivan Drago averaging 633.3 ypg all on the ground and 69 ppg while his zone defense surrenders a surprisingly low 322.8 ypg and 14.1 ppg. The Outlaws counter with a Tiki Barber led balanced attack generating 694.2 ypg and 63.2 ppg while defensively they hold teams to 349.7 ypg and 14.7 ppg. One thing is for sure if GE doesnt win it wont be his fault, and the Outlaws will get no credit from him.

#1 Fury (12-2) vs #5 Vape Nation Football (11-3)
Last Meeting: Fury won 37-10(Dec 23) Series: Vape leads 6-1
Fury got their first win of the series this season and look to expand on that success this postseason. Fury fields a run heavy balanced scheme averaging 791.6 ypg and 74.6 ppg while giving up 406.1 ypg and 19.5 ppg on D. Vape QB Jimmy Ozorn leads the leagues best passing attack on O averaging 601.5 ypg and 53.1 ppg while surrendering only 247.4 ypg and 12.2 ppg. This should be a great game.

Yep. Three teams with equal records. There were 4 games between thrm. PEW won 2. That should get them in.

I can do some vet ones no problem

Lets go Oldest league first!

GALAHAD

Blood Sweat & Beers v Freakville Swampcats

The stifling, turnover merchant defense of the Drunken Boys must be favourites here, heavily so, unless the pass offense of freakville really fires... the issue they may have is in facing the Safeties of BSB, Particularly I'll bring the beers, as the Swampcats offense is built around speed in the receivers, looking for some long bombs to escape the coverage. The D-line will likely not allow them the time to get open downfield, meaning they may need a very very good game from the old vet S* HB Wes Craven. A well timed juke can be nearly impossible to defend, so there is potential here, if the swampcats can hold up defensively... BSB may not have a big time offense, but they have one thats capable of scoring more than enough points if they get the right playcalls, with their 2 HB's very fast with just enough power running to break the tackles at times and make big yards, as well as a very solid wr3 in yardage miner, coupled with the increasing influence of "the double fist" pete Biers at wr1/2, and they'll be a serious proposition

Verdict : BSB will be too strong for Swampcats

Bronx Bombers v Tokeneke Terrapins

An unusual matchup in that Tokeneke are hard to predict on defense, generally requiring a good passing game to get on top of... however if there's any rusher in GLB capable of sticking it on any defense, it's Derek Jeter. Lightning fast, and breaking a ton of tackles, this boy is gonna be seriously hard to stop. When you add in the manning to Shockey/Mattingly partnerships, then i can see some major points being scored by Bombers. The one big plus to terrapins zone defense is the hard hitting nature of their defense. It is possible they could hit some receivers hard earlier on and grab some turnovers to build a lead if the rolls go their way. It's just unlikely they can maintain it throughout the whole game.
Which brings us to the Terrapins offense, led for the most part by highly agile WR's on the passing front, and quite solid TE's, they can be hard to stop once they get going, and when you add in the record holding pile of dung they have at HB (like what I did there?), his scat abilities add an interesting element vs the highly favoured DE flats plays of the bombers, though these are plays they run very very well, so the HB screens may not be as effective as Dung Attack can sometimes manage. He'll need a strong game to stay in tough with the Bombers.

Verdict: I have to go with the number 1 seeds, and No.2 Ladder team, Bombers. Their offense is just too powerful to contain unless you're BSB, and so tokeneke will need to score a lot of points, and they have had an unfortunate habit of falling behind early in games this season. If it happens here, then it'll be curtains for their championship ambitions

ALE

Robot Lords of Tokyo v Rusty Tromboners

This has been a slightly underwhelming season for a few teams in this division so far, but Robot Lords, in league anyway, is not one of them. They have excelled in league games, losing only one match v Tromboners after playoff berth was already secured, although at 1-1 this season, the finale of their rivalry is all the more intriguing for it. They have a big big offense, focusing mostly on the rush, with good WR Blockers (Honourable mention to deevee's WR Blocker in particular) and some combo TE's that are very effective if not marked closely, along with Paradigm shifts, a very very useful wr3 who catches most balls thrown his way, proving especially useful in 3rd and long situations. The rusty defense is packed with S*'s, but maybe lacks a little of the depth of most other teams to compensate for it. They have a very fast d-line, liking to pressure the pass with this, especially outlaw dog, their Star DE, and then sit deep, allowing LB's and safeties to adapt to the plays coming their way. They are highly unpredictable with a very active coach, and loads of S* power allowing them to make use of a bog variety of plays.
On offense, they have 2 monster S* HB's, who are incredibly fast and powerful, along with 2 of the fastest WR's in GLB history. They love to spread the defense to cover the screens and then use the HB's to take advantage of the spread out field, hitting hard in a lot of 1 v 1 tackle situations. If you dont cover the wr's well either, you'll be in real trouble, as they have speed and energy to burn! The only real weakness is the lack of a very solid receiving game, however against the robot lords defense which is hard hitting, causes a far few fumbles and some very good CB coverage, it could be an interesting game if Lords get their defensive plan on point.

Verdict: Tromboners to take the win, based on a more diverse array of options they can go with to bamboozle the robot lords defense, and their defense to cause a few vital turnovers on the power Backs of Robot lords to clinch the deal. It will be a tight one though, and wouldnt be surprised at all to see a win go the other way.

Detroit Vikings v Elements

Hayrow has fielded a largely unchanged gameplan and tactics set all season, but hopefully he can find time to put in some good planning to this one. The best place to start is the Elements offense against Vikings defense. The vikings have one hell of a D, seriously varied, and tough to find any consistent weaknesses in their plan. They cover screens very well, outside rushes, cause fumbles, and a good D-line. Elements will need to make good use of their first year, Marcus Allen, and then the speed of Carbon to abuse the tiring defense. However I can see them struggling to put over 30 points on the vikings, with a special mention to the run stuffing DE's, and Eva Longoria, a very very effective LB for turnover potential
As mentioned, the elements defense has been on autopilot so far this season, with gaps that a Fast HB like Hype could really exploit if they dont change up. Hype's alternative build has been very effective and very very hard to stop, with Cmon Zombie a good backup who's proven effective late game situations, and with some helpful Kick/Punt returns as well for the vikings. They pass well, to the S* TE, and Pat Coe most of all, enjoying especially the 3 wr passes, but the rushing aspect is definitely the stronger part of their game, especially up the middle, though I'd expect to see more variety this time round, with more outside rushing for sure if they want to make full use of their HB duo.

Verdict - Vikings, as although the elements have a big LB core, Hype almost always scores a couple of TD's, and their pass game is solid enough i can see them scoring 30+ points, which is not something i think the elements will manage unless they make better use of their 2 S* WR's

LAGER

Proven with 5 of top 8 teams in the ladder to be the toughest league, so tough in fact we're still unsure about the second playoff match!

Band of Brothers v Xenos

This is a huge matchup, betweeen the top seed and the number 1 Ladder team. The result of this match could go a big way to deciding the ladder trophy, and regardless of the second matchup, is probably the toughest game to call. B.o.B showed in the last league game the power of their defense, with 4 turnovers, including 3 intercepts putting major brakes on the xenos high powered offense. They have a strong D-Line, tough as nails LB's and their CB's are all tight in coverage for sure, though the only small weakness could be their SS in coverage, who's more of a hard hitter build, yet this is negated by the occasional use of a CB in this slot. The Xenos Offense is their main weapon, with S* power in 2 wr's, a TE, a Guard, and Jakinator dood who is looking to really let loose, as he often does, at this time in the season. New addition Dmitri D'Morez, and Trent Harms have been key this season once they settled in to the team, Dmitri proving nearly unstoppable in any coverage, and Trent providing major threat both deep downfield and on screens with his searing pace. He is also solid in regular pass pays, presenting a real dilemma for the BoB defense. Keep an eye out on Alex Javier too, his speed regularly causes issues late game when he gets a good play matchup, with just enough power to beat tacklers, and a good stiff arm, and also Road runner, who's been the bane of B.oB in 2 of the last 3 meetings, they seem to struggle to contain him on the returns.
BoB Offense is really rolling thanks to Nigerian Nightmare's other HB, S* Dragon Nightmare, who has been in flying form. A power back with surprisingly nimble feet, he really opens up the game with BoB's favoured counters in 2te, 2wr and 3wr, as well as regular sweeps and pitches. He is nearly impossible to stop when he gets going, and when he breaks free, you may as well accept its a TD. Cmon BoB is a great backup as well, break a lot of tackles, and a valuable asset for the returning game too. Passing wise, Mike Metcalf, Goose, and Calvin Johnson are all very useful to the passing side of BoB's offense, able to break tackles occasionally, and mostly solid, however their real threat come sin the form of the 2 TE's, Tom "gunny" Highway, and Dick Wurst JNr, who've got hands softer than a baby's bumcheeks. Dropping balls is not in their DNA, and you can expect some major targeting their way in the next game. Xenos defense is no slough, despite only 1 S* in a Reliable old Jake, he' been instrumental in their game this season, adding a dimension to xenos pass defense, which was already strong with their CB's, who have chipped in with fairly regular intercepts this season too. One might look at the lack of a S* SS as a weakness, but cirro stratus has been phenomenal this year in PD's and coverage, while Pumbaa is a one man wrecking machine, who just loves to make mincemeat of a running HB. He could easily cheap in with a forced fumble or two in this game.

Verdict: I'm biased, and honestly think its far too close to call. Will likely depend on the rolls of the dice really, and which HB can really be destructive. Tactical battle will comprise a lot of second guessing and over analysing in all likelihood!

? v ?

Still not sure if its Ann Arbor, Dream Team, LLUA, or NW Scrubs who are competing in playoffs
