To reduce the chance of fumbling the QBs can slide. This would reduce at lot of fumbles if the QB isn't a running QB. On the Tactics it could have Slides Yes or No option. Then people will say just set the scramble frequency to never but what if you want your QB to pick up extra yard.

QB Slides are allowed to avoid injury to the most important position in sports, not to prevent fumbles. GLB2 has no injuries, so there is absolutely no excuse to let QBs slide.

I up voted this awesome idea. QBs most certainly do slide to prevent fumbles...

The league does not allow them to prevent fumbles the sole reason they are protected by rule is to avoid injury, end of story.

Anyone can give themselves up on any play with ball in hand iof they don't want to risk a turnover.

Correct, but the only reason the league allows them to do so is to prevent injuries, otherwise it would still be a live ball until contact was initiated by the defense. The league does not actively create rules to prevent turnovers. Just saying.
