This game is dead

Less and less teams in every tier now. No agents making sure players. And who can blame them. They can go play a subscription game that offers all day fun every day for $15 a month. This game that gets you a team and a QB and RB. If you're lucky can still afford scout.

I like the game but can see the issue with the business model. Most spend some money then realize it doesn't offer enough to be worth the cost.

People are dropping like flies.

I was just saying that as well. This game is really expensive if you want to be competitive.

So you're saying if the pay plan were = w/ GLB1 but with GLB2 game mechanics it would be a more viable product? For this being football season you'd think there would be more enthusiasm for a solid sim. Unfortunately I think the player protests had a negative effect in general on fan base.

I've wanted a GLB3 for over a year now. GLB1 coaching, with GLB2 player building

With team subscription. $15 a season and purchase S* up to 6-8-10 per team at an extra $3(at 8 limit this is $24 more) a piece per season. Stay at vet if you like reset if you like.

This might keep people around when they can learn at $15 and build all builds and have a team they can retry with as they learn with no heavy loss.

Would promote rivalry as agents would then be mostly vs each other. People can still work together coaching and game planning. But for the most part you worry about your own team. Double so with staying at vet. If you have top team the others might have to reset to knock you off.

I think it would seem to lose money but if it creates growth and sustainability to increase population. Wouldn't 500 teams going at a time be a little more fun than 100 agents on 40 teams?

This would also limit the inactive issue. Tough to replace a guy who just up and leaves as is.

You're talking about another game that doesn't exist, dbill - but I wish it did. It comes with a host of problems that WG just wouldn't even contemplate, but I love the idea.

Yeah I think subscription based would be a good way to go in saving the game

The only thing that annoys me in glb2 is rollout only teams

I've always been a player / coaching person. not really interested in having an entire team (and it's accompanying expense) so I like the current set-up but feel the expense for anyone wanting to be a team owner is steep. also when players go AWOL, damaging a team's win potential, needs to be address in a way that is pro team even at the expense of the AWOL agent.
