What's the benefit of ladder games and are the stats from those games not combined with league games?

Ladder games out of league match-ups that help determine your ladder rank by pairing you up against similar strength teams in other leagues within your tier (or near your ladder rank once you get to Seasoned and above) . Teams with a higher ladder rank generally get paired against other high ranked teams. Lower ranked teams are generally paired with other low ranked teams. There is a trophy for the top 5 finishers in each tier's ladder every season.

Stats from ladder games DO count on your individual player page. However, the stats compiled from ladder games do not reflect on your team's stat page.

Think of your league as the South Eastern Conference and the Ladder as the pre-playoff BCS with no bowl games.

Speaking of which, I always feel like #1 and #2 should play each other in the last ladder game of the season.

SEC looks down (except for a few like Alabama)... and my poor UK will never have a good football the way it looks, they didn't even have 5k people show up for todays first win of the season

After that ass whippen Louisville put on FSU, I would agree. SEC is still probably the toughest conference but the B1G and ACC are almost as strong. B1G is top heavy though, mainly Mich, Mich st and OSU. ACC also top heavy.

Pac-12 is average and the Big 12 might as well implode now.

Big 10 is terrible. Michigan should have gotten beat AT HOME by the worst team in the Pac-12.

It's Ohio State and everyone else.

Whoa whoa whoa there fella. Easy on the Blue bashing! Haha. They gave up way too much to Colorado early but settled in and dominated afterwards. Still early in the season and they are still working out the kinks for sure. I think the hype train is a little high on Michigan for sure but they are still a quality team this early in Harbaughs tenure. He has turned that team around quick and things should only get better. I doubt they make the playoffs this season as many seem to be calling for but they should have a good shot within the next few seasons.

There is no benefit. Ladder games are the =worst.=

Nothing like being super competitive in your own league, but watching your record drop as you get mauled by 50+ points by some Top 5 team you have no hopes of beating. They say you're paired up relatively close to your own strength, but really, I've only played a handful of ladder games where my opponent was within 5-10 tier rank spots of my team - mostly, I just get fed to the strongest teams in the tier, 12-15 spots above mine.

I don't even game plan for them anymore. I pretend they don't even exist, or use them to just try out stuff I might want to do in my real games. After the last time I spent hours trying to game plan against a top 5 team and then got shredded by 35 points, it's just not worth it to me any more. When they start giving me games against people actually near me on the tier, I'll start treating them like actual games.

It will come down to Michigan and Ohio State from the B1G for a playoff spot. Was very surprised how bad OSU whipped OU at Norman.

I am a big LSU/SEC guy so I have no side in that fight up north. Finally LSU has a QB who can at least throw to an open WR in Etling. Funny how a back up QB who couldn't win the starting job at Purdue transfers to LSU and wins the starting job. We don't need a great QB, just a game manager who doesn't turn the ball over and complete a pass. If Etling continues to improve, I think we can beat Bama.
