OK, time to try to bring some life into this league forum. I may go 0-6 in my picks, but its better than nothing!

ABC The Family @ Northland Reavers - The Reavers open the season with a visit from ABC The Fanily. Much like their namesake, The Family arrived to some amount of critical acclaim but fell short of expectations. Reavers open the season with an easy win. ABC The Family 3 - Northand Reavers 31

Los Angeles Outlaws @ Nebraska Cornhuskers - Last season the Cornhuskers stuggled against bad chemistry. This season, they have no excuses. They start this season off against the Outlaws of LA. The Outlaws were busy poaching, er, recruiting hard this past offseason and have fairly significant roster turnover. I think that turnover hurts them on opening day and allows the Cornhuskers to get a win. Los Angeles Outlaws 17 - Nebraska Cornhuskers 23

The Simpsons @ The Jedi Order - The Jedi Order have arisen and have taken their place as reigning Black Mamba champions. The Jedi Order continue to run with their all-superstar, no depth defense and mauling rushing attack. Everyone can see through Mysterio's Jedi mind tricks. The question is, can The Simpsons stop them? Not today. The Simpsons 6 - Jedi Order 48

MOOSE - TACHE @ Los Angeles Pain - Duro brings one of the bhall network teams to Black Mamba and start off agianst the gritty LA Pain. Moose, or do they go by Tache, brings a prolific passing attack into their game against the LA Pain. This could be an intersting game as the Pain do a pretty good job of slowing down other team's passing game. In the end, though, I think Moose, er, Tache comes out ahead. Fury @ Vape Nation Football - Last season, Fury pushed tier ladder #1 Vape Nation to the limit. I see a similar battle as two of the league's more balanced offenses face off. Fury's defense didn't play four full quarters last season and I suspect we could see something similar this season. If Fury wants to make a game of it, they'll need to jump out early and hold on for the win. It'll be close...Fury 27 - Vape Nation 31

1980s Run Stuffers @ Auto Pilot Joes - The Run Stuffers are going to run. The Joes are going to mostly run. This one will come down to defense. GE and his band of "friends" bring a S* laden defense and hope its enough. Unfortunately for them, I think the Joes's defense will be up for the task, despite the lack of superstar power. This one will be a slobberknocker. If you like offense, tune to another channel. 1980s Run Stuffers 6 - Auto Pilot Joes 10

Some huge teams, and sensible enough predictions there, this is a tough league, so some surprise tactics could cause an upset, some double guessing and well, I think it'll be a hugely fascinating season, to have 3 of last seasons top 5 ladder teams in one division is mental in alpha, but lets see how she fares

YES! Definitely missed the predictions and such last season. Hopefully alot more to come this year. Extremely tough League that is well deserving of much attention and entertainment!

Oh damn those were some good matches! Simpsons, Pain, and Fury all so freaking close to the win, as were the run stuffers, for all their self-created hype

Nebraska failed to get their offense going and struggled against the Outlaws D. They would've had a chance if not for 3 turnovers. If I take one lesson from this game its don't let the game stay close against LA. Their kicker won this game for them.

The Simpsons vs The Jedi Order
Predicted: The Simpsons 6 - Jedi Order 48
Actual: The Simpsons 7 - Jedi Order 9
The Simpsons came to play! They couldn't move the ball but did an impressive job of keeping the Order out of the end zone. Unfortunately they allowed them to get into FG range 3 times and lost the game on a 48 yarder with just a few seconds left in the game.

Actual: MOOSE - TACHE 36- Los Angeles Pain 26
This was one of the more exciting games of the week. Both teams took to the air and brought just enough of a ground game to keep their opponent honest. Moose reached nearly 400 passing yards and it was enough to secure the win.

Predicted: Fury 27 - Vape Nation 31
Last season Fury jumped out to the big lead but was unable to hold on. This season Vape Nation took the big lead and did enough to hold on. The Vape Nation passing attack was on fire, especially TE Dronnuld Ozorn who caught 15 of the 20 passes that came him way. Fury's highlight was a 61 yard TD by their superstar HB.

The Run Stuffer did what the Run Stuffers do. Outside QB spam complimented by some inside crap. Skeletor broke 3 big runs with the QB cheese but that's all the Run Stuffers had. The Joes relied on a much more traditional rushing attack with a few passes thrown in for good measure. Chalk this up as a W for the good guys.

Wow! GG Jedi, that last field goal. I thought for sure we had the win when we punted it to you. Then you used the last time out, I would of guaranteed it was over there. Then a measly short run forward and field goal to end it, and without that short run after your last time out, I don't think you'd make that field goal!

Canterob I feel for you mate. Your luck with these tight tight losses is awful, you had a lot last season too

Overall good predictions there! I think you mixed up defensive games, instead of 1980's vs Joes as the defensive game, I think that belonged to Jedi and Simpsons game. What a gut wrenching loss at the end!

yeah outlaws kicker was on fricken point... i had a bad feeling when he drills the 49 yarder to start the game, qb sacked too many times

Yeah we did, Hopefully it doesn't end up a repeat of last year as well. Gotta get back to Playoff form and get in that Championship game. First Goal, finish games strong!
