Is it more important to max Break Run Block or Hold Ground first?

I'm going to have Run Stuffer, and I'm looking to build a DT that can also go Nose Tackle in the 3-4. I'm not going to be putting any points at all into pass rushing; I just need a big fatass who can take up space in the middle and shut down the inside run.

I narrowed it down to these two skills, but if I'm off track, feel free to let me know.

Thanks!

Get break run block max high and get it up to about 80 first. Then get quick, footwork and sprint to about 30 to 40. Then max hold ground. Then max break run block. Gold shed block 1st.

BRB is about winning the block. The SA needs a successful BRB to happen before it can fire.

HG is about push. High HG will help with push, but it's SA is Unstoppable Force and it only fires if you lose the block. And then it just prevents the OLine push distance.

So BRB is worlds better than HG.

Try and get close to 90 BRB (at least mid to high 80s). HG isn't worthless but 70+ is enough, 80 is a good target to have.

You then want high Conditioning and Toughness. Some Intim isn't a bad idea.

Sprinting isn't really necessary, it won't hurt and can help on counters but it's a choice. I'd go with high Tackle Tech because it's thought that it increases the range of your tackles as well as success rate.

Footwork is good. Consistency is good because it can help on third down and those are a lot of inside runs.
Blitz Awareness and Pursuit are good too.

I wouldn't bother with sprinting if you aren't going for sacks. Diving will help.

Speed helps run down the HB, especially on counters.

The DT is usually running all of 4 yards to make the tackle on a Counter. You really think you need Sprinting for that?

How about high Snap Reaction and Blitz Awareness, instead.

I have a player built for the same purpose and he's done well so far. With caps he'll be 97/95 end-build http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/208809

I would recommend building both BRB and HG at the same time. Secondary skills you should build...but at a bit slower pace, are tackling skills and conditioning/toughness/balance. I'm likely going to use Beat Down as the 3rd SA on this build since Intimidation will be high & he gets lots of revs.
