The main event game was Jericho picked to beat Houston. Going in, this seemed a reasonable choice. The last time these two teams had met was two seasons ago, in the tourney, when Jericho demolished Houston 30-3. More recently, they had both played JPEGs and Houston had lost to JPEGs while Jericho defeated JPEGs. However, apparently Houston was able to figure out what JPEGs couldn't, as Houston delivered a mighty blow to a Jericho team that was already being seen as on the edge of decline as a competitive team. We all knew it had to happen, just not that it would be game #4 when Jericho starts its slide into oblivion.

I picked Paris to beat DSWC for the undercard game. The teams had last met two seasons ago in the regular season with Paris winning 31-19. This game turned out to be much less of a competition, however, as Paris romped to an easy win.

The game I didn't see coming was Barcelona upending ATKM by a really healthy margin of victory. This game and the other results have forced me to make some notable adjustments to rankings after game #4.

2) Contender: Brazilian Farmers. Beat CCIA & HRT; Lost to: Vienna
3) Contender: Great JPEGs. Beat Houston; Lost to: Jericho
4) Pretender: Houston Gamblers. Beat Jericho; Lost to: JPEGs
5) Fading Away: Jericho Walls (Declining Minor League Glory Team). Beat JPEGs; Lost to: Houston
6) Good Team: Corpus Christi Illegal Aliens. Beat: Barcelona; Lost to: ATKM
7) Good Team: Hostile Royal Takeover. Beat: Barcelona; Lost To: ATKM
8) Average Team: Barcelona Conquistadors. Beat: ATKM; Lost To: HRT & CCIA
9) Average Team: All The King's Men - they don't gameplan, else they'd be a contender. Beat: CCIA & HRT; Lost To: Barcelona
10) Average Team: Paris Smexies. Beat: Scrub teams; Lost to: Jericho and Houston
11-12) The Dregs: the other teams in Elite

Bring it. You know we will. I remember 2 seasons ago you coasted most of the season but still managed to find the motivation to give us a helluva game twice in the regular season, although you did come up just a bit short on both occasions. Maybe 3 times will be a charm for you? Or maybe not?

Re Sly...Me and he have had our upsets but thats part and parcel of GLB I guess....On the one hand its cool of him to spend the time etc to produce his rankings/slant on the League etc although on the other hand some of his remarks can be a little disparaging ( both to Jericho but imo more so to Vienna who have proven time and time to consistently be a class team at this age group)...I cant speak for their build plans but I can for Jericho....We're not aiming to be just minor league contenders we'd also like to make some noise in the pros and we're building as best we can and trying to win as we go along....Imo for teams with a number of agents it helps keep people interested and committed....But each team builds co-ords spend or dont spend philosophy are bound to both be and turn out different......The fact we are all still here is a good thing

Ain't gonna gameplan except for one time this season pal. The Aliens will be at #12 when it's all said and done.

Well this may just be me but why NOT gameplan ?...Especially after pumping rl cash into a game for the best part of a year ?...To me not gameplanning is like getting married knowing youre going to get divorced cause the missus is cheating lol....
