Now that there are only 5 games left in the regular season, probably about time to start talking about playoff hopefuls:

In Alpha, Whoville, Northland and Fury could all still take the division, and it seems a certainty that one of the others gets a wild card. Fury have the best chance of finishing the remaining non-division schedule unbeaten, with Whoville next and Northland with the toughest remaining two games.

That means Whoville and Fury could enter the final stanza of division games with the same record, and Northland has the best chance of staying a game out of first. Even so, it will all come down to the inter division games. Slight edge to Whoville and Fury to take the playoff spots.

In Beta, Blue Ridge is out in front by two games, but they also have two games left against high quality Alpha teams Whoville and Northland. 1980s is their only competition at this point, and they have one gimme over the next two weeks. Blue Ridge could very well lose their next two games, and 1980s could win theirs, putting them back into a tie. The rest of the division are freebies, so it will likely come down to week 12 where Blue Ridge and 1980s meet each other to decide who takes Beta. Slight edge to Northland as they have some of their wins in the bag, whereas 1980s need to win out.

In Gamma, it's still a three horse race between Simpsons, Jedi Order and Los Angeles. No hope for any of them to get a wild card unlike Alpha, so a more tense race to the finish. Simpsons will probably win their next two games, Jedi Order has a tough matchup against Northland, and Los Angeles have two tough games left before hitting divisional play.

That probably means Los Angeles will fall out of legitimate contention by the start of divisional play, leaving it up to Simpsons and Jedi Order to decide the division in week 13. Slight edge to Simpsons.

Still too early to tell, but it looks like the safest bets are Whoville, Fury, Blue Ridge and Simpsons, with a good chance of the two Alpha teams playing each other in the semis.

I hope LA Pain fall off. They have our number going back to last season.

I also think the winner between me and Blue Ridge in week 13 will take the division.

And don't count out Northland. Tough team with solid gameplans.

Well, things have cleared up quite a bit over the last 2 weeks:

Alpha - Northland is pretty much out of it, although they have an extremely slim chance at grabbing a wild card. It is down to Whoville and Fury now.

Beta - 1980s is done barring an extremely unlikely shot at a wild card. Blue Ridge has taken this division.

Gamma - LA Pain is completely out of the playoff picture. Down to Simpsons and Jedi.

Wild Card - Almost certainly guaranteed to either Whoville or Fury, but Northland, 1980s and the loser of Simpsons/Jedi aren't technically out of it yet.

I'm actually still in the Wlldcard race and it might play out. If I win out, Fury wins out and Northland beats Whoville, I will take the Wildcard spot.

It's almost like I said twice that you are still in the wildcard race.

Yeah but my chances are not as bad as you say. Actually it is about a 40% shot IMHO.

so you're 2 games out of the wild card slot....with 3 games to play?

The tie breakers always confused me - but 40% chance seems a little bit lol

He's right about the tiebreakers. Based on his scenario...

Fury 12-2
Blue Ridge Moonshine Club 11-3
The Simpsons / The Jedi Order ???-???
1980s Run Stuffers 10-4 (Beat Whoville in H2H)
Whoville Whos 10-4

I'd put the odds at around 15% today. I'd bump them up to around 40% after week 12 if GE beats Blue Ridge and Reavers beat Whoville.

I've been confused about tie breakers for a long time. I keep hearing head-to-head is the first one but that doesn't seem to be the case. Fury is ahead of us with the same record and they lost by 31 in our only meeting.

The tie breakers aren't used to determine list order. It is just random.

Man that was a close game. They do seem to always be a hassle for us lol.

Gg Pain!

Looks like this next week is a big spot for the playoff race. Looking forward to the tough matchup with the Jedi Order.

You know 1980's is over rooting for an upset from the Midgets on Whoville or for Fury to beat them in the last game of the season. Cause it looks like the wild card is most likely going to either Whoville or 1980's
