Having a match like this is ridiculous. This team is two tiers ahead of mine with nearly double the skill points. This is a level 11 team against a level 21 team. I look forward to each game, even ladder matches. I take pride in my win-loss record.

I understand sometimes the top of a tier needs to play against the bottom of the next tier. This is a 9-2 team that has only played ladder matches of this nature. Four ladder match against Seasoned teams another two against Journeyman. If anything the Mountaineers should be playing Veteran teams.

I don't like to accuse fellow coaches of shenanigans but they are likely abusing an exploit to keep their ladder standings. This shouldn't have happened seven out of seven times. Please take action.

How are coaches able to control favorable ladder matches?

Ladder match-ups are random-ish. Your problem comes from the fact that some of the higher level tiers have small numbers of teams, thus have to play from the tier below. Then there is this - https://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/forum/thread/5260382?page=1#49410185

1. Coaches don't "control" matchups. Myrik's KM teams have been very competitive over the past few seasons. To think he's intentionally screwing with his Ladder ranking to get matched up with you is a joke.

2. Other Seasoned teams have had this issue. Want me to list mine?

3. It's an ELO system. It auto-corrects. Yes it takes too long and yes it's a pain until it does, but we all go through it.

Seasoned is a waste land. It just is. Perhaps with more teams in Rookie now because of the Facebook link, Seasoned won't be so bad in the future. At the end of the day, you're competing against Seasoned teams for a League SHIP and Seasoned teams for a Ladder trophy.

It's fair while at the same time not equal.

They arent. OP is ignorant of how these match ups are chosen. However I do think the ladder match ups are BS for playing up 2 tiers.

Bronx just drew our 4th straight pro team. It does seem a little worse so far due to smaller tiers but this is how seasoned has always been. We get a thread like this about every season.

Yeah, BSB is on Pro team #4 as well. It really boils down to the pro tier only having one league and all teams forced to seek ladder match ups outside of the league which leaves no other pro teams. It seems a bit worse this season but it is simply the current state of things. I do hope that future tiers stay a bit heavier than what we are seeing near the top right now obviously. Time will tell though I suppose. I definitely feel as though the off-season changes made the past 2-3 seasons have been the most encouraging changes made in 6-7 seasons probably and with that comes a certain level of excitement. Hopefully it leads to more teams and agents sticking around and hopefully that level of interest in making/keeping this game great pays dividends.

Your a seasoned team, this happens to all of us once we hit the main Ladder. This year is worse than most because of the ELO error others have pointed out to you. It is what it is.

I wish we would play some veteran teams, but at least last ladder we pulled a J-Man. Eventually the ELO will correct, and we will draw some.

I don't like to accuse fellow coaches of stupidity, but you didn't take the time to look on the forums to see if this was a bug or if anyone had the same issue before sticking your foot in your mouth.

We've complained about this forever, but now we just accept it for what the system is.. sucks, but we've all been there.

My seasoned team I coach for played (Last I knew) the top Pro team.

It sucks but nothing to be done about it.

Having everyone defend WGG and claim, "It sucks but there is nothing we can do about it" is a sad cop out. There are an even 10 professional teams. How is the "best option" allowing them to have 15/30 bogus matches? The ladder matches can and need to be reworked.

Yes I'll just use the "Search" function that our robust forums do not have. Or do you suggest I manually read through ~60 days of posts hoping to find something similarly posted last season? If it is a bug the issue needs to be constantly addressed until it is fixed.

If this happens every season you should be directing your frustration to the WGG staff. Not at the the beginner in the situation that "we've all been there before". Stay classy Myrik, everyone believes in your "well-deserved" ladder rankings. You are clearly a gentleman and a scholar.

GLB2 just needs to take inter-tier games OUT of "tier" rankings calculations, and I would be ok with how things are. Dynasty rankings don't mean much for anyone outside of Veteran anyway.
