I can't send low contracts because "that salary will put you over the cap"

I can't cut because i'm at 36

WTF is going to happen? If I ran across this issue (I have) I was planning on replacing my punter with a rookie, well I can't make the move because of the salary and then the min roster.

I think the minimum roster limit should be removed for the offseason, then if you don't have it by the first day it auto signs you CPU. This is silly.

I've never liked the way you are handcuffed when signing players.

Sign Carbon to a low contract, that'll get you under the cap.

dam thats a tight spot. seems impossible. is it possible to change one of your contracts from a more expensive salary(s) to a low contract then sign the punter then cut the punter you wanted to cut so afterwards you can adjust the roster back to normal with the rookie punter on? idk if it would effect chemistry changing contract type to free up money but its worth a try if you really need it.

So I can have my feature player at 50 chem...I already knew that was an option but obviously a dumb dirtbag way if my hand is forced

What will happen if I do nothing? Will I just get to play over the cap by 100k? They can't auto cut anyone or my roster is at 35...this is lame, let me cut my punter and sign a rookie punter

Yeah, for some reason Sophomore cap is shorter then rookie.

PM Digital Daggers he has solved this issue for me multiple times. He will cut your punter for you

Yeh, the jump from Rook to Soph is tricky cap-wise. At some point you're going to have to drop to just one FS, which would clear up cap space for you. Don't really need two when you already a S* at the position. Might want to do that now, sign a Soph punter, and then give Carbon a high contract to catchup

I'm in the same spot. With 36 players will they cut one because that would put you under the minimum player allowance.

I'd also like to know what happens because if I can ikk hold out until next off season and correct it then

Yeah ive seen teams play a season over the cap before. Its likely not an issue

the regular FS is a run stopping player used at the CB spot (FS is cheaper than CB )
