Yeah, but my GM said he noticed it fired then the spin would fire and was wondering if we still got the Leverage benefit. Otherwise, with all the Spin Cycle on DL, whats the point in taking Leverage.

Not sure. But it would be benefit if it fires to help prevent spin from firing mybe. But once spin fires not sure it still helps
I could be wrong for sure

Possibly it slows down the player's spin and speed even if he stunned the OL? That's what I'm thinking... seems like nothing prevents it.

Checking out some plays and seeing if it has any benefit. Got some plays I pulled from a recent game.
Leverage fires right before spin cycle:
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/303714/1444813
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/303714/1445430
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/303714/1445443
Spin cycle firing without leverage:
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/303714/1445618
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/303714/1446327
Any difference in spin and side to side movement speed? Dunno lol.
edit: Looking over the plays I think these 2 from the ones above would be best at determining if it does anything (same 2 players in blocking interaction):
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/303714/1445443 (leverage first)
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/303714/1445618 (spin cycle alone also DE has first step so you would expect him to be moving faster anyway presumably)
Not seeing a difference.

I can't tell if there is any difference.
I think the SA is valuable in that it might stave off spin cycle for a few more ticks by helping the OL not lose the interaction for a few more ticks..

It doesn't actually effect the possibility of spin cycle firing. I think it just decreases the lateral movement around the blocker like you sometimes see if someone gets around a blocker and didn't spin to do it. Spin cycle (at Gold) stuns the blocker making that irrelevant.
Dunno though

I think...not positive, that leverage is reducing how far around the DE is after spin cycle finishes. The two without leverage look to finish the spin portion on the opposite side of the LT, whereas some of the one's with leverage firing finished the spin sort of at the side of the LT.
If that's the case, then it could save a few ticks before the DE gets into range of the QB.

I didn't mean it exactly in that way.
Spin Cycle only can fire when the DE wins the blocking engagement. So my thinking was that leverage could decrease their ability to win the blocking engagement in the next few ticks which might stop spin cycle from being able to fire in the next few ticks if the DE is suddenly no longer winning the blocking engagement. I don't think Leverage directly stops spin cycle from firing, just kind of an indirect way of stopping it.

I agree with you, this is what it looks like to me too.
