Warrior General Games

I don't know who will find their way to read this but I just want to say how excited I am for new blood and new players for GLB2! I love this game and I'm happy to see it grow. If you are new, I'll echo Bort's welcome message and say check out the FAQs; here are some highlights which are worth the read.

Some basic advice for the start I would give is be patient; GLB is a game that takes a little while for anything to happen. Use your first free player to experiment, and before the next season try to find your way onto a team with an established group. Ask lots of questions in the forums, on the FAQ or maybe just in this thread! If you want to learn to coordinate, it's pretty easy and can be rewarding. Lots of established players will help you if you have any questions there.

If anyone else has advice to give, put it here! If you have questions, write them here! GLB2 is at its best when there are lots of teams and lots of players. We're glad you're here!

Oh, something I see a lot with new players: PickUp Players are test players only. They can play in pick up games, but can't actually sign for a team. Do not boost these players

I see that one.. I was just looking as a random facebook user and seeing if I could happen upon it, much like I did with Yahoo..

You actually have to go to the Games section, then search for Goal Line Blitz 2 and you will find it. You can share from that point.

keep track of what the current 'newest' account # is....then we can track how many new users are coming in over the course of a day/week/month


beyond that - script to track retention rate? How many of those new accounts never make a player.

how many make a player but don't find a team

how many go inactive ~4 days after account creation?

Also, another piece of advice: It is ALWAYS better to sign for a CPU team in a CPU league than an inactive owner. You will get beaten repeatedly and discouraged by your HB averaging 0.6 ypc over the course of a season with an inactive owner. An active, knowledgable owner is always the best option but that's isn't what you'll get when you first look for offers.

We need some of the new teams to be ran by pros, but only used to sign up new players. Will help them out loads to be on a team with some knowleedge to it.

If any one wants to use my team as a shell for this I don't mind. I will give coach access and GM access to anyone who wants to do that. I am not using the team for anything other than.... well I said too much, lets just say I need the team for alternative motives

WTF do you think I am? Seriously!!! Call your local admin to do this...

I am sure I can, but really.... is it worth it in the end?

local admin won't share the data

we need it to either:

A: build some hopeful momentum that new blood is coming to the game-- they just hate posting in forums (if the game starts growing / thriving - that is good to know as people could be more open to buying flex; etc)

or

B: mock the admins with actual data (9000 new users this month ldo)


but no - I don't expect you to do it -- I was just hackin on ya.
