until they buff hands and balance for passes caught behind the LOS, screens are as useful as career boosts on a pickup player

Yup. Somehow there needs to be a location adjustment based on where the receiver catches the ball. Huge bonuses to Hands and Balance behind the LOS. Huge negatives to downfield Catch in Traffic, being double teamed, etc.

Yup. Somehow there needs to be a location adjustment based on where the receiver catches the ball. Huge bonuses to Hands and Balance behind the LOS. Huge negatives to downfield Catch in Traffic, being double teamed, etc.

Too often the QB will throw the ball on a hook route and the WR can't make the play despite having position. This kills short passing. There's almost no point to throwing anywhere but 10+ yards down the field.

- Added a bonus to catch awareness when closer to route hotspots
- Added a bonus to catch awareness when facing the ball
- Players are less likely to fall down after making a catch
- Fixed a problem with facing angle calculations when deciding the chance of falling down after catching a pass (players should be much less likely to fall down when facing ball).
- Greatly reduced the chance of falling down when catching a screen pass, especially when facing the ball.
- Increased general chance of catching a pass behind the LOS
- Greatly Increased chance of throwing a "quality" pass on screen passes

An even bigger problem is that most screens are a near auto sack against certain blitzes, which is ironic since that is what they are supposed to beat. I wouldn't be surprised is they are hesitant to buff screens because defensive contain and pursuit is so broken though, if it were possible to catch screens at all without the QB getting sacked they'd get overpowered pretty quickly.
