Would anyone over here be interested in having our two leagues combined? I really don't want to play in a cpu league, and as it stands now, there's 4 meaningful games my team would play in the regular season. Everything else is a waste of time. I'd encourage everyone to petition the devs, requesting them to combine leagues. Here's what I just sent them.
Hello! I sent in a ticket a day and a half ago concerning the journeyman tier and its two leagues. It was a bit preemptive, guessing how the two leagues would be structured, but it turns out I was pretty spot on with my guess. Now that things are a bit more official than in my last message, I'll make my appeal again.
In Labrador league, there are six human controlled teams to six cpu teams. All six human teams are full human rosters. In Dachshund, there are 9 human owned teams and 3 cpu teams. Out of the 9, one team (Alabama Steeldogs) seems it is about to fold, as the whole roster is set to expire, including the owner's own players. Two other teams (Shanghai Millionaires and New York Avengers) are roughly 1/3 human rosters, with expiring contracts taken into account, have made zero attempt to recruit on the forums, and have shown zero signs of activity since joining the league. That leaves six active, fully functional teams.
Some people enjoy running their teams for different reasons than others, and that's totally fine. I think the twelve teams that are active and make the effort to become competitive would all rather be in a league together than to be in half cpu leagues. This would come at the expense of throwing two teams (or three, if I've somehow miscalculated on Alabama) into a CPU league by themselves, whereas the other 12 teams now form a functional league.
I hope you consider this request. I can currently guarantee you 7 out of 8 playoff spots between the two leagues. It would be a lot more exciting, and enjoyable for us, to actually have to compete to win that trophy this year.
Thank you for the consideration!
