On my team, I cant help but notice that we're still winning lots of games due to outlasting morale. We've had bad first halves, only to explode in the second, but never really the opposite. Likewise, many opponents have hung in for the first half, only to fall apart in the second. I first attributed it to luck, but it's been happening for a couple seasons now.
So trying to figure out why we've had this advantage, I can think of two possibilities: conditioning and leadership. I'd like to hear thoughts concerning the latter, as I don't see it discussed very often. Our second half swings seems to be more apparent with the offense (this is the eye test, so could be wrong) and our QB is pushing 80 in leadership. Is there something to this stat? I don't hear it getting a lot of love, and even less so with the morale changes a few seasons back. Anyone have some good examples out there to look at?
