I have what I think are 3 very good WRs. 5 total on the roster. I know with GLB2 plays, WR2 and WR3 gets some pretty good looks. I run 2 and 3 wide sets a lot.. Should I split the 3 guys between the WR2 and WR3 spots OR Split them across all 3 (WR1 WR2 WR3) to make sure they are on the field together more often in 3 wide sets? Hopefully this makes sense..

First, I counted 6 on your team and not 5, if you're talking about Team 1543.

For 3WR sets, the best spot is WR3. You want a dominant S* at WR3.

The best way to do it is to work backward from WR5 to WR1.

Who do you want in the WR5 slot when you go 5WR?
Who do you want in the WR4 slot when you go 4WR? Who should the backup be?
Who do you want in the WR3 slot when you go 3WR? Who is the backup? (if any)
Who do you want in the WR2 slot when you go 2WR? Who is the backup? (does your WR3 S*WR have the Energy to be on the field for these plays AND run your 3WR set plays? Or do you want to use these plays as his rest?)

Then it's just a matter of changing the Substitution settings. Typically you use Frequent if you don't mind which WR is on the field for a certain play or you go Infrequent when you do.

Thanks... the 6th is almost always KR... so I didn't count him...

I appreciate you time on this. It makes total sense, I was kinda of thinking a round robin type deal but can see where that wouldn't work, especially if the builds of the WRs are different, as in the case with this team! Thanks Xars.. Really do appreciate it!!

Best I can do is explain what I did.

I ran 3WR exclusively.

My S* WR was at WR3 with infrequent substitution and no other player in the top box. As a result, only he played that slot.

At WR1 I had one Speed WR and at WR2 I had a second Speed WR. The backup to both was my Shifty WR, so each position attacked CBs sometimes with Speed and sometimes with Routes/CiT. These were set to Frequent.

For my last Vet season, I added a 2TE play and used that as the "rest" play for my S* WR. I did this because my TEs had lower play counts than my WRs, so I bumped them a little to give my S* 5-10 off plays per game.

What works best for your roster with your builds is for you to figure out . While there are some generalities that apply, your team's optimal solution is up to you to figure out. Myself/others can only help so much from the outside.
