Nice write-up. I'm rooting for the Eugene Elderly here.

Elderly comes out with a narrow win. My DT registered 6 hurries in 30 ish snaps. He's been limited by playing backup in a 34 defense his whole career.

I just got a few ex-LogZilla players on Eugene.

On D: I added my DT Combo. With McGruff, HayRow and myself, Eugene should be strong up the middle. I'll try to get my Combo DE build on next.

On O: I added my TE's (Catch and Pass) and WR Shifty and WR Speedster. I'll try to add my other WR Speed.

Let's hope Euguene passes some.

Incredible write-up!

I would have kept some legends around if I knew about this.

Rankings and MVP Watch updated.

Some factoids:

The teams with more human players won 66% of the time.

Jacksonville was the only team to win without a human QB on the roster. They no longer only have CPU QBs.

The Naps are currently the team with the fewest human players, with only 8. They are also the only team with a human QB.

Eugene has the most human players with 29. They have no offensive or defensive superstars. Phoenix comes in next with 21 human players and 2 superstars.

ETA: Historical Week 1 Data:

- The average winning score for week 1 this season was 26 points. This is the highest opening season winning score average in Senior League history. The lowest was Season 7, the inaugural season, where winning teams averaged 12 points. The historical mean winning score is 22 points.

- Two teams scored 34, the highest score this week. The highest opening week score in GLB history is 41, by the Jacksonville Grandpas in Season 10

- The lowest winning score in GLB opening week history is 3, by the Phoenix Retirees in Season 7.

- 4 teams have been shut out on opening week: Leeds (S7), Hartford (S7), Eugene (S12), and New York (S8 & S10)

- The average margin of victory for S15 Week 1 was 16.3 points, the highest in GLB history. The lowest opening week MOV was season 9 (7.5 pts). The historical average W1 MOV is 11.4

- The Phoenix Retirees hold the all time best record in opening weeks. They are 8-1, with their first loss coming in S13 to the Cincinnati Dinosaurs

It might be a ways down the road, but I'm going to stop retiring a bunch of my guys, so I can fully fill Phoenix, so they can essentially be my legend team

we are in need of some legends, so please check out the team (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/roster/1224), and keep requesting CPU offers til you get one from Phoenix!

mostly, we need OTs, TEs, WRs, CBs and Safeties right now

Goes 64% comp for 7.2 Y/A.

Overall, Eugene dominates with over 200 net yards (after sacks) and easily wins despite losing the TO battle.

WR Down Town leads with 83 yards rec.

The LZ Boys WR&TE combine for 18 catches on 27 targets for 198.5 yards despite having 4 drops.

Eugene is set to roll.

After the game and post above, I got CB Cover Strong and CB Cover Weak onto Eugene. I'm trying to get my DE Combo on the team still.

CB Cover Strong at 4 seasons of Vet had a 45.76 comp% against (combined).
CB Cover Weak at 4 seasons of Vet had 42.58% comp% against (combined).

Better pass coverage should lead to more sacks for McGruff!!

DE Combo at 4 seasons of Vet had a 291 to 53 revcake/pancaked ratio. He should help once on the team.

PaulM is going to have to update the Power Rankings.
