I was tinkering with the player creater on glb2 scout and im trying to figure out whats a good balance between stamina and confidence. Right now im giving players workhorse to make up for some of the stamina they lose by me making it so low and in place putting some more points in confidence since it seems to boost other skills up by a good amount the higher it is.

right now im ending up with players with a minimum of 45 and a maxiumum of 55 stamina. is this an okay number to fall between in or am I going to be in trouble for keeping the stamina too low?

It's acceptable but there are some positions where higher conditioning is preferable.
Typically for any non ball carrier on the O-line/D-line, a mix of 50 conditioning and 45 toughness is a good minimum.
For any non ball carrier that has a back up to split snaps with 55 conditioning and 25 toughness is a good minimum.
For any ball carrier/receiver with a backup to split snaps with 60-65 conditioning and 30 toughness is a good minimum.
For any non ball carrier that has no backup and plays 100% of the snaps, 65 conditioning and 30 toughness is a good minimum.
For any ball carrier with no backup, or power HB 70+ conditioning and 40+ toughness is a good minimum.

So yes, a 45-55 conditioning cap is acceptable as long as you intend on using cap boosters for conditioning. However there are some positions where more conditioning is ideal. Power HB's and players that don't have any depth behind them need extra conditioning. Also some speed Receivers who depend on their ability to maintain speed can benefit quite a bit from additional conditioning 65+ is ideal for guys you push sprinting above 90 on. Also note that players in-game energy drops faster when running if they are carrying the ball compared to if they are running and not carrying the ball.

Personally, and it is a preference thing like anything else, I think MHS's minimums are low across the board.

Depends on the position of course. K and P don't need any imo for instance. But outside of those two, I'm not sure 55 is enough for anything, let alone 45.

Conditioning is more important in maintaining energy during a play. Not keeping play starting energy up as snap count increases (mostly because if you have enough for the first thing, this happens automatically). Imo. How many ticks you need to maintain high energy for depends on the position.

What do you think are some good minimums then so we might compare numbers?

Honestly, I've never really thought about it before from that angle, so I'm not really sure.

I don't build to a bare minimum on conditioning (any more), I go for a very good target. So where I would build wouldn't really answer that "minimum" question.

When recruiting, I take what I can get. I consider the build as a whole, so there isn't really a floor that would disqualify a build. I'll look for as many LBs or whatever I can find and try to recruit the best one. If there is only one available, conditioning is what it is.

As a point of reference, on my current dots, I plan to take them to:
QB - 71
DT - 77
K/P - 11-25 (haven't put a point in yet, but these are experimental-ish builds, and so I may drop a few SP in there)
