Anyone care to explain how balance plays into the make tackle or break tackle rolls? Theoretically, I could see how it could play into Power Tackling and Power Running, the roll to determine if a rusher stays on his feet while carrying a tackler (anti-Tackle Grip?), etc.
Hypothetically, let's say I had a DT with 100 Hold Ground, 50 Power Pass Rush, and 80 Power Tackling. Since the dot would invariably win pretty much every push roll, does anyone have any an idea how much Balance would be recommended in order to make the most of the Power Tackling? Part of me would almost interpret Balance as some sort of combination like (bare with me, I know Tackle Tech would play a part, too):
(Balance Roll) - (Power Tackle Roll - Power Running Roll) = Odds of not getting knocked on butt.
Is this remotely in the right direction here?
On a related note, have any high push roll DTs gotten away with less than 70 Balance and still managed a low missed tackle rate (10-15%)?
