This is my first time playing GLB and I wanted to know what you guys think of my build.

I'm focusing on making my player a receiving TE.

not bad at all for a first time build. my advice, remake without quick feet (sprint much more important for TE than footwork, quickness is supplemental to sprint as well) think 70ish sprint end game and 50ish quickness and 25ish footwork. other than that, the rest of the build looks fine for a first attempt. good luck

Shouldn't have used Quick Feet, Strength and Speed are too low, they should both be between 8-10/ leave heart and Conditioning alone for now, work on Sprinting, Quickness, Route Tech, Rec Hands, CIT, Rec Awar, and Rec Consist first

Something like this http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/146772

most solid rec TE build have 1 str, if you dont have good advice dont give it IMO lol

but yes, focus on re-building your TE and dropping quick feet and adjusting the initial build to have some higher sprint cap, my vote would be dropping strength from 4 to 1 and putting those 2 pts into speed and 1 into confidence. you want to always keep your players your own so dont completely remodel your guy, just make the small tweak and he should be set. again GL

Doesn't strenght help with grip, breaking tackles, ect ect, just because its not your way of building doesn't mean its not good advice ass... lol

Anyway, we are both in agreement that he should rebuild, you don't have too be a dick about it.

strength is useless aside from rec grip in which case confidence does the same thing but with more benefit

taking the 3 from stenght into confidence alone will give the same grip and more CiT, and more rec hands, strength isn't great on any pure reciever, if they should block you could consider strength though

i don't think 70 sprinting is a need, you would gain some speed from removing quick feetbut would probally personally boost it to at least 60 from cap boosts

How does this sound?
1)
STR - 1
Agility - 9
Awareness - 7
Speed - 8
Stamina - 2
Confidence - 8

Traits : workhorse, receiving specialist, egotist

this will get you a fairly good build overall. you can always drop speed to 7 and bump agi-10 to get better technique caps. using egotist your speed will be good at 7. very good start though for a first build.

Strength is the most important part of CiT, Rec Grip and Carry Grip also

When you add Strength to the TE, he also becomes more versatile and desirable, because run Blocking is heavily tied to Strength.

..... all that aside

If you only want a pure receiver TE, you really can't get by without Speed unfortunately. There's no reliable way to get targets without it. If you can't get targeted, it doesn't matter what kind of catching abilities you have.

here's my take http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/185394
