Nearing the end of my Seasoned season, and here's where my CB is:

74 Man Awareness
77 Coverage Tech
45 Intercepting
65 Deflecting
34 Quickness
49 Footwork
50 Sprinting
32 Conditioning

If it's not listed, I've never put any points into it at all, so it's somewhere between 10 and 20.

I'm wondering where I should focus now. Should I keep putting points into the ones I've already gotten pretty high, or bring up some of the lower ones first? Which road would make his Journeyman season more effective? Or is there something I should start putting points into that I'm currently not?

I would bring Conditioning to atleast 45 and I would bump Sprinting and Footwork a bit, on another note investing in Def Consistency could help.

Also try to improve his Deflecting and Man Awareness before improving his Intercepting and Coverage Tech imo.

If you can, add more to deflection, quickness, footwork. These 3 are below average right now. I'd also increase sprinting, but those 3 should imo take priority for the time being.

A few more points in conditioning couldn't hurt, but how are his energy/morale levels? Heart could work. Defensive Consistency is a solid option.

Ok, please listen to this...

All of the above posts are good.. generically ... but not for you specifically... Why?

It seems like no one looked at your build - specifically Traits.

You went Ball Hawk. That's cheaper INT and higher cost Deflecting. Now a lot of people would probably say that Deflecting is more important than INT and that's why Long Reach is used more than Ball Hawk.

But that doesn't matter now. You went Ball Hawk - SO USE IT!

Your 65 Deflecting is enough considering the 10% SP penalty. Your 45 INT isn't nearly enough for Ball Hawk.

Pound INT. Get it to 80+ if you can. (I can't see your caps.)

You also have Man Specialist. Your Man Awareness is 74 and lower than Cover Tech. Pound Man Awareness. (You could have gone Shutdown Defender for the Cover Tech benefit, but again you didn't. So get Man Aware above Cover Tech.)

Finally, you went Workhorse. So hit Conditioning.

In short, your three highest skills at your Final Build better be:

Man Awareness 80+
Intercepting 80+
Conditioning 55+ (Quickness, Footwork and Sprinting will probably be higher, but maximize Conditioning SP spend)

Or you've really fucked up your build.

Consider using your Cap Boosters on those three first before using them anywhere else. I can't see your caps to give you more specific advice.

(Note: Since you didn't go Egotist as a Trait, don't worry as much about Footwork/Quickness/Sprinting as most people would tell you. I'd target:

Footwork 65
Sprinting 65
Quickness 34+ - it's fine for now until you do everything else.)

Finally, next time you want to build a Cover CB choose Max height. It helps.

While I agree with you on surface level Xars, trait selection is a sunk cost. So if the intercepting is less useful than the more expensive deflecting (on a per-SP basis), you should still go with deflecting.

That being said, I think I tend to agree with most of your advice anyway.
