I need some advice on a few attributes for a man-coverage CB.

Are there any guidelines on quickness, balance, sprinting, power tackling vs. strip tech, tackling tech, pursuit, and the two jumping skills?

Also, how about Snap Reaction?

For a man coverage CB I try to get somewhere in these marks:

Man awareness 90+
Coverage Tech 80 +
Deflecting 80+
Footwork 75+
Quickness 55+
Sprinting 78+
Vert 30+
Tackling Tech 50+
Power Tackle 20-25
Tackle Grip 30-40
Snap Reaction 35-40

Should I go for 60 Conditioning (from 55) or 65 Defensive Consistency (from 60)?

Also, if you don't mind me asking, why Man Awareness higher than Tech? Wouldn't Awareness coincide more with Route Elusiveness, which is really expensive?

Is he a pure coverage guy and not a run stopper?

I was planning on making him an *almost* pure shutdown corner, save for a few points in break run block--though I also had tackle tech and power tackling a bit higher than the above suggestions in the end-build.

He will look like these DBs with those tackling skills:

That run in the 3rd quarter . . . I've never seen a TACKLER get flipped like that. I bet the coach was all during the game.

lol...yes. Have you ever seen power runners at Vet?

What would you recommend then?

I'm not used to building defensive players that have had to worry much about power runners. I build blitzing DEs mostly.

I think cover tech can be lower(60). I also think 70 speed and quick might be better. Wouldnt put anything in power tackle and more grip instead. Conditioning to 60 i think would also help as its not mentioned at all

90 MA
60 CT
80 Deflect
80 Footwork
70 quick
70 speed
60 conditioning
60 Consistency

Then tackle tech, grip, and vert as high as you can. At least this what im trying next (Though i dont use scout so not to sure if can reach all caps)

Oh yeah. And im wondering if anyone has ignored BrB and tried to Pursuit to a good level instead. More tyry not to get blocked than worry about breaking it i guess

Bad advice all around. When Genesis was around we had probably one of the best defenses in tier. Your CB doesn't need more than 50 Conditioning since the owner will still be rotating him out. Coverage tech, footwork, and quickness are more important than sprinting and man awareness. This is probably the best pass covering CB build that you'll find that still has great tackling tech. Unless he is a pure run stuffer, power tackling is a waste of SP.

I'm going to try Pursuit > BRB this next build, I'll post when I know.

Also, I agree power tackling is a waste unless he's a run stuffer.
