We have a QB with gold QH, but tbh I hardly ever see the thing fire off. Anyone else notice this or is it just me?

It only fires on 1st and 2nd down for passes less than 6 yards from the LOS...

Make sure you have the right plays being called.

Might be he's throwing beyond 6yds... I'll recheck.

I have a rookie QB with bronze, and it fires a handful of times a game.

Gold fires on all plays.

also, I have silver on Eli and I very rarely notice it fire on short passing even at the 75% chance.

Yep. I had it on my last QB. It is hard to find a play where the top target runs a 6 yard or shorter pattern.

At the top of available plays, there's a dropdown where you can select "short".

But yeah, there's not many 6 yard streak routes.

Here's where someone uses Stobie's tools and lists all the short passing plays that average more than 6 yards per completion...


I find it best for screen heavy teams, and a few of the HB routes.

Doesn't work on screen passes I think - isn't it only downfield receivers?

It doesn't work on screen passes. FSM had a QB with Gold QH I think, never fired. We experimented with some shorter passes, but still had a higher completion % with the normal passing playbook.

I think what this thread is showing is that with the way passing is currently QH is pretty much useless. Maybe it should be 10 or even *gasp* 15 yards or less?
