It's been quite a few seasons since I've built linemen. With the recent changes to how much skills cost in the tech/power department, I don't really know what levels are comfortable for top end builds. How much tech/power is enough to be average? What's considered top end/elite? What's enough to get by?

Used to enjoy using the player build forums to look at this stuff. Was a nice way to keep all the positional info together. Too bad it's rather out of date.

To get over 80 run block tech with decent run block power, you pretty much need a S*.

Yeah, playing around with the build creator tool that much has been made abundantly clear. I'm wondering what level tech now is considered "good" vs. "elite" now that the values changed. Not sure if when there was an adjustment to the values, there was an adjustment to how effective the lower/higher amounts of a skill too. Is a guy with values of 75/70 run tech/power considered a bulldozer or is that kind of average?

I think that's kinda mediocre for a run-focused guy. Pretty much have to use Early Bloomer on OL now imo..those skills are just too expensive otherwise.
You probably want to end with somewhere in the ballpark of 85/80 for non-pullers and 80/75 for pulling G/T.

Does the same hold true with pass protection? I get the vibe you can get away with lower numbers there. If not, then I take it flexible linemen are a thing of the past.

I haven't really used a pass OL personally, but from what I read on the forums you don't need a whole lot of pass block skill..even for 100% passing.

That is about average for a normal run blocker on a balanced offense. Leaves enough for about 45 pass block tech and awareness.

No way you get that high with pulling G/T unless you want them to be slow.

I am building a balanced O-Line. My regular non-pulling are around 75/70 run block tech/run block power and 45/45 pass block tech/awareness. Not investing in pass block power. I'm more of a 65/35 run/pass team.

Depends what you mean by slow. I built a test OG just now with 85 Tech, 73 Power, 30 Sprinting. Could've easily given up a couple points of Tech and gone to 35 Sprinting.
