lmfao this is like the 3rd thread in the last couple weeks of GE complaining about zone logic against offensive plays that should eat his playcalls alive, and then do.

That wasn't half bad coverage either by them, fully covered right until the very end.

this x 1000... they acted exactly like they should. I'm starting to wonder if GE even knows what zone defense is.

So if every single offensive player is on the other side of the field, all the defenders on this side just sit there and watch? They should at least go back towards were the WRs are running.

Perhaps in a real world defense the LB or S would audible out of the zone or shift, but in GLB that's not gonna happen (at least for now). They are just going to guard and stay in their zones. Which leaves someone open. That's how zones get carved up in real life. Smart WRs flood the zone and break out of it leaving someone open. Even in basketball in zones someone is open. The best you can hope for in a zone is that your pass rushers get to the QB before it falls apart and bait the QB into making a bad throw where someone can make a play on it.

i actually agree with you peeti. you would as a defense guy move over and adjust. your zone defense would still be odd but for the most part you would shift guys over to prevent the easy throw. even man cov you would still move people over. you ran cov 2 man under. everyone moves over for the most part. the FS would then take a quarter rather than a half of the field and the SS gets the other part of back field.

I've run cover 2 _____ on accident a few times last season due to doing tactics poorly. It is by far the worst play I've run next to Cover 4. Just too much room for error. I could see it used if you know exactly what play a team is gonna run but there are so many plays that crush it by running 2 people through a zone, or running across a zone. Cover 1 isn't bad though.
Edit: By worst I mean if it doesn't get me in completion % it gets me in deep balls.
