Warrior General Games

What are some good yardages you have found to work well in the past? I have been toying around with them, just getting other owners' opinion. Also, I am sure it's been discussed, but the forms do not have a search correct?

If you mean tactics for Very Short, Short, etc.. I use 2|4|8|12. But that isn't a huge deal for me because I use the scout tool. If I play with it enough you can find what the other team does.

Well, nobody that wants to win games trust me to run the offense but my offense is different. The shorts are shorter.

It would really depend on what plays you have tagged to fire in the designated distances. What you set the yardage to is merely a threshold setting for your plays. Depending what plays you have tagged you may want very short or short to be a smaller number or even larger. The same could apply for medium, long and very long depending on what you are doing.

I agree with you there, but I find myself using the same plays for "ALL" the situations because I think I found 4 or 5 that work.. and the playbook requires 4 plays so I throw in all my perceived good scouted plays in each playbook cat. but obviously my offense isn't scoring bunches. so looking for some friendly advice!

Tactics, plays and builds all effect offensive success. Many people handle the tactic set up and play calling in those designated yards to go situations in different ways and the changes that you aim to make are going to depend on if you run, pass or fumblerooski it. Basically if you pass it can be easy to push your short yardage out further depending on what plays you want to use and if you run then your short and very short settings may be much less on YTG. If you are balanced then both concepts apply but you may not want to call an inside run too often on 3rd and 8. Setting up tactics and playbooks for those tactics go hand in hand. I could give you specific yardage numbers but it would not be effective not knowing what plays you are wanting to run in those situations.

I use 6 for long, 3 for medium, 2 for short, and 1 for very short

that's a good base set for a running team... but passing teams will need higher though for medium and long, as some pass plays typically go for 9+ (ex-diamond chalice), so you'd want those on long, and def not short

It all depends on this and what kind of gameplan you want called...can obviously vary depending on opponent.
