As I look at my own sophomore-soon-to-be-seasoned punter's very average performance this season, I'm struck by the thought, "why don't I just roll with a rookie each season?" If you build him with early bloomer and leg of steel and just drop points into punt power, he'll average about 40 yards per punt over the course of the season and save your team tons of cap space. At this point, punt accuracy just seems so useless, does anyone have a punter (or seen a punter) that is actually able to coffin corner with any kind of regularity?

I will be rolling with a seasoned or sophomore punter and KO specialist from now on to free up cap space.

I normally farm and filter out sophomore punters for my teams.

Depends if you care about distance. You can get punters that solidly knock a ball 55 yards which is about one extra set of downs. Yea I compeletly did not touch accuracy with my punter and he is much more use to a team who goes 3 and out rather that those forced to punt at a 40 going for a coffin.

Sometimes punt distance is crucial.

Punt didn't go far enough, and 3 plays later they give up the game winning field goal. Stretching that punt from 40 to 50, and maybe HKD runs out of time.

That said, I think Seasoned-ish is the sweet spot for Pro/Vet teams.

You can get kick off power and punt power to 90+ after a full rookie season I believe.

Coffin corners need to be more common. Until that happens this seems to be the way to go...

I would love to see a build that could do that, I seriously doubt it. 80ish for kick off power, 65-70ish for punting power.

There should be a setting for it. Either kick high for hangtime when near the end zone, or aim for coffin corner.

I'm talking after you get the boosts and off season points. So going into sophomore season.

Hmm, max for kickoffs is 88 then. And punter is 70-73, depending how much you put into Hands.

I just hit 84 kick power on my kicker after todays game. But I also have 44 heart so 90+ seems pretty doable.

looks like around 73 punt power is what you are gonna get through an entire season though.

I can't speak for anyone else obviously but I'm ecstatic with the season Hub City's punter just had.

121 of his 129 punts pinned our opponents either at or inside their 20. You ain't getting that out of a rookie.

Yeah, combined with an SA like entrapment and high accuracy, those coffin corners can really hurt. But even with high accuracy the punter will hardly pin inside the 5-10. For a KO specialist the differece between mid sophomore and vet isn't worth the salary tho
