Warrior General Games

No thread yet, so thought I'd start one. Hopefully everyone can share something about the games they're interested in for all to read.

GA went near the bottom of the barrel this week and got Independence Day Warriors. Based on their result against Winnepeg, they clearly weren't built to defend the run very well, so we mauled them pretty good.

GA's defense has been pretty awesome so far. The S* investments appear to be paying off. Combined with a clock eating rushing offense, we're producing some nice results.

It's the worst that DD's offense has looked this season. 8 punts, 2 turnovers, almost 100 yards less than their second lowest output of the season. I thought the GA defense was pretty spectacular in that game considering what was happening on offense and kicking FGs.

Fun nugget. Our FG specialist is 11/15 this season. The 4 misses came in the 0/4 day against DD. I'm fully on the "F kickers!" bandwagon now

I'm confused, is this ladder game talk or GA talk?

Just glancing at it, it seemed like we didn't get a lot of great match-ups this week. DD got a "cupcake" that we struggled with.

I liked the immediate re-scrim where you proverbially said "dammit! I should've done this!"

FSM vs Whoville should be entertaining.

If it weren't for some great late game heroics by Richmond Raiders, Whoville could've been undefeated (or at least pushed that game to OT). They were driving down the field with 2 timeouts left before this happened:

Logzilla dropped 70 on Veteran #15 and move to 6-0.

Pretty Much Barry Allen gets a whopping 43 targets but can only pull in 14 of them.

1500 yards of offense in the Logzilla vs Veteran game. 117 points scored.

Those are always entertaining to watch

Xars has built a machine. His defense can chameleon over to a passing defense just enough to let him outscore other passing teams.

haha that was all them on the rescrim, it was the exact same offense but different defense. My offense is just bi-polar, either great or dumpster fireish bad.

That new lurk blitz didn't work as well in Vet against WR3. I think I could have cut about 30 points from him using over will instead there. Had to try it though.

I think that may be a product of a low chem QB. It is tough to tell because Barry was always off and on last season. Feeling the effects of losing Hillman because he was the glue to the offense. When Barry was off, Hillman dominated. When Hillman was off, Barry did decent. Sometimes they were both on and it was just sad for the opposing defense (looking at you Fort Collins). Now I got 2 speedsters and a new QB (2 of 3 dealing with chem issues) so its a work in progress.

And before a Tdiddy hey my QB looks amazing comment, I think the minimal offense really effects the low chem qb because we allow more hurries than the regular offenses. But I do it to afford the defense some other potential.
