Good choices, but I could find similar plays for any corner in GLB. Still kept y'all to 4 completions on 9 targets that game. Find me a corner that can play both the run and pass like that!

I'll be waiting...

Let's be honest, they did you a favor by blitzing you during that game. I lined my best WRs at the #2 spot for that game and the plan was to come right at you, I can spot the weak link on a defense pretty easily.

it is a bit disingenious to show the 4 completions on 9 targets, and leave out the blown up screen passes from the zone plays

I could link all the completions I had from him blitzing and the blown-up screen passes and see which comes out on top, let me know if you guys want to see that.

That'd be relevant to the playmaking skills of this player how?

It's not his Job to cover completions made behind him on anti-screen playcalls.

Joseph Haden IV. Top 10 CB in rookie and sophomore. Nothing in run stuffing, but he'll somehow get to the ball carrier. And don't even get me started on the pass

The whole range of CB play in one play: takes on the blocker, sheds the block, brings down the ball.

Nope but it points out the huge flaw in the defensive scheme. All I'm saying is that I'll gladly trade a few blown up screen passes to move the ball a little easier.

comboing double back out and up with strong WR screens from 2WR isn't just good against 5-2. It's pretty effectively against most defenses.

The combo does force us out of Man Base, so there is that. We're still digging around on what might work "good enough" against screens that doesn't require the CB to abandon the outside to WR2 on downfield plays.

Lets be honest here 99% of cornerback play is luck. You could have 100 Deflection, Awareness, and Coverage and still go 50% allowed/targeted. I had a CB that had a season where he had 7INT and 30PD. Then the next season he couldn't tackle or intercept anything (probably due to different defensive tactics).

Poor guy. The Stoners told me they had room for him and he played ONE down the entire 30 game season.

edit: I also forgot to mention that WRs can have max Hands and Catch In Traffic and at the end of the day its just a roll of the dice.
